Okay, from your collection right now, what are your three favorite knives to actually use?

Mine are:
Spyderco plain-edge Atlantic Salt
Camillus CUDA EDC with 154CM
Victorinox Fieldmaster

Allen.

Sears Craftsman (Camillus made) Stockman
Case 3318 CV Stockman
Steel Warrior Saddlehorn Trapper (yeah, it's actually a great user)

Number one: most all the time is my BenchMade 420 Resistor combo edge that I personally Waved myself. Great knife. When I have this one on me, which is most all the time anymore, there is no other knife. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3218410&postcount=5

Number two: is my Salt 1 that I personally upgraded and rebuilt with Titanium liners and lignum vitae handle scales. Tied with my David Boye boat knife folder that I carry as much as the Salt really. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3234695&postcount=4

Number three: My Ouparator Jr. that I made myself. Pictured in my signiture line below.

Small classic leather sebenza
Buck Tarani
SAK light-huntsman

I know its kinda an all over the place list, but I carry my sebbie for edc, my tarani at work, and the sak is a back up for both, and always in the other pocket.

Benchmade RSK Griptillian
AG Russell Featherlite (Just replaced it though with a Benchmade 921 switchback)
Bark River North Star

My top 3 users are:1. Large Sebenza 2. DMknives Instigator 3. Spyderco Calypso, Jr. ZDP 189.

I'm assuming the idea here is "use to cut stuff" and not "carry because you like it." In which case:

Paramillie (laser-scalpel with great ergos and brilliant design)
BM 710 (cuts like a frickin' blowtorch with that recurve)
Serrated Delica (I know I can rely on this knife to cut anything, anytime, and I never worry about messing it up)

D2 minigrip--holds the edge forever, great axis lock, pocket friendly

M16 11K -- very pocket friendly, fun, great action, reliable liner lock, partially serrated blade, feels good in my hand

Paramilitary -- incredible blade and steel, superb ergonomics, g10, nearly the best lock out there. This would be "the knife" if it weren't so huge and didn't stick out of my pocket. But I carry this 80% of the time.

The honorable mention is my greg lightfoot urban shark....great little knife, I use it in sheeple situations.

1.) Pacific PE Salt
2.) ZDP Caly
3.) Rotation of several G-10 models: Lately mostly the Yojimbo and Lil'T

Small Fixed Blade - Busse Leaner Meaner Street

Large Fixed Blade - Busse SHSH

Larger Folder - BG42 Sebenza

Small Folder - Spyderco Calypso ZDP-189

Yeah, I know that's four. I never could follow directions. :)

My main 2 are
1. Custom Razorback-Knives pocket hunter (small fixed blade):D
2. SAK
3. I rotate a traditional folder in my pocket sometimes, but I usually just use two. Occasionally, I carry a Buck 110.
Scott

Cold steel voyager XL
swak
Leatherman micra
They are not my top favorite but the ones that see the most use

1) SAK Cadet.
2) SE Dodo tied with BM 710.
3) Bark River Fox River tied with Swamp Rat Howler.

TODAY I have used my

1) AG Russel one hander
2 )Spydie Military
3) Leatherman Super tool

and I cut some foam with my Busse HD and trimmed my nails with my SAK

They all have there place, "right tool" and all that.

:D
