Your Toughest Knife?

Toughest fixed blade...my Woodsman's Pal

Toughest folder...toss up between CS AK-47 and CS Folding Bushman

Not really sure, all I know is it's been stripped, and has Black/Red G10 Mags.

It's .3125" thick. :)

So before stripping I am guessing it was the full .320".

Ankerson, how did you get the polished edge on it? You can see the tree limbs in one frame!:)

Did it with my Edge Pro Apex, took it all the way up to 6,000 grit polishing tape (18,000 grit Whetstone)

Thanks. I've been looking at this sharpening system and may go ahead an get it within a few months, after I get the knives on my to get list! But hey, since you are in NC and I'm in NC , I could come stay with you a few days and bring all my knives and let you sharpen them for me so I would know what to do. How does that sound? I don't eat too much......and I'll bring the 'shine!

ROFL. :D

Bring the shine.... LOL :D

My toughest knives are my probably my 2 Himalayan Imports Kukris and my old USMC Ka-Bar. I'm not a Marine but I've still put my Ka-Bar through hell and back over the years.

Probably my MOAB @14" blade and .40 thick:D Be afraid, be very afraid...

my Camillus BK&T Campanion. we recently moved, and the first couple days in our new place i couldnt find the can opener, so i found a new use for it.

Busse ASH-1, .320 INFI is some tough stuff, also the Fat Game Warden.

That's the same Busse combo I got. The ASH-1 CG, is indestructible, I don't think I've came across anything remotely as tough. I need to put a better edge on it though.

As for toughest folder...I guess my leatherman wave. If not then the other folder worth mentioning is my spyderco military.

Don't own any fixed blades only folders, but I would put My Benchmade Rukus over my Strider SMF dgg and my ZT0301

Of my few fixed blades, my Rodent Waki takes the cake

Should be beat in approx 4 months when I get a custom Demko Espada. It will be a mid size piece to bridge the gap between the Medium and Large with a .2" CPM154 having a sharpened length of 4.5". Smooth black G10 with Ti frame and integral bolsters.

Camillus made Becker BK 7
Ka-Bar USMC
Scrapyard Dumpster Mutt

Folder
ZT 0500 MUDD

Saddly, I don't own a Busse "yet", but of the blades I do own I'd say my Swamp Rat Rodent Waki is pretty tough...:)

I haven't punished it much yet, but I think my Fallkniven Thor will hold up pretty well too...
