Your ultimate Zombie Apocalypse knife

Fallkniven A1 Pro. Not a great melee weapon but it'll definitely outlast you, and cop some abuse prying doors when you stupidly get backed into a corner in a warehouse.

Question, do you become a zombie if they catch you? You know, what's is left after the meal? Just curious. :D Never watched the show to figure how that would play out.

There are lots of shows and lots of different kinds of zombies and how they turn.
I'm more of a traditional Romero zombie fan. Slow turn depending on number of bites and location as long as there hasn't been head trauma.

Love these threads if only for the reason that it motivates me to research other types of blades I wouldn't usually.

I really need that Von Tempsky Bowie I've been putting off buying now.;)

One of these should work; a Svord von Tempsky bowie. My example sports an 11" 5/16" L6 blade.

Although, I note that zombies are herd creatures that seem to suffer from very low dexterity. If you capture them alive, strap bare knives to their arms and let them lose, they may end up chopping the pack to ribbons, sparing us the hard work.

Yup, as I mentioned above^^^.
Pulled the trigger on that purchase an hour or so ago.
I'm GTG now! Bring on the horde! :)

Zombies? 12 Gauge pump, 00 buck. Best shot is the pelvis. Shatter that, and all they can do is crawl. Even the undead are not immune to physics. Once down, any good chopper, like a Becker BK-4, will separate the cranium from the spine. Problem solved, with a minimum of fuss and bother...

Kukri, Esee 4, Bow and Arrow. Hunting weight bow. About 50 arrows. About 2 dozen set with broad heads.

Might as well take a folder too.

I don't take a few extra ounces of weight into consideration when it comes down to a tool that might save my life, or another's. In a survival or emergency situation, especially when I might only have one edged tool, I want a knife that can do everything a knife can do, including chopping wood.

Busse Basic 10. Swamp Rat Battle Rat is a very close second.

I think us knife knuts have the Zombie Apocalypse taken care of. Preparation is everything!

It's just a normal photo. There are bushfires where I am so the background is smoke. Thought it fit with the apocalyptic theme nicely.

The smoke does add a lot of interest. Here is a shot of a whitetail buck I took a couple years ago with a bluish smoke haze in the background. It is one of my favorites.
