Your woods chopper

The sheath is extremely nice! The quality of the leather is very high, and the swiveling belt loop make for great ease of carry. All of Condor's sheaths are easily as nice as their knives/machetes, and were one of the things that attracted me to the brand back when I first discovered them in the summer of '05. :)

Good to know,

Thanks!

Wolf_1989 acquired that Super CAK (or WW3 Model) from Bladite, it was made by Sgt Khadka and only 2 exist: an 18"-blade version (that I've not seen) and Wolf_1989's 20.25"-blade 30oz sword pictured in the post - it is both legendary and unattainable, except from the current owner.

Crimsonfalcon,

Being a Havildar himself, only he could make the EXACT specifications of what a balanced one feels like.
The current SUPER CAK (notice the BOLD SUPER) is just another hybrid of Bonecutter and Angkhola.

The Wolf_1989 version is one hella hybrid; Chitlange pommel + 4 pin chiruwa tapered tang +non habaki bolster + M-43 belly+ Angkhola fuller + Sirupati tip.
At 30+Oz and 20+" long, it COULDN'T POSSIBLY be any closer to what we seen today.

I hope Sgt is back on track because Bladite wants one as well!

For most of my woods bumming I use my old trusty rusty 28' Tramontina Machete with the black plastic handle while I do like to play with and collect large fixed blades for most practical purposes a cheapo machete suits me fine.

From what I've seen recently, the kami's are getting the handle of the Super CAK clones more or less right, BUT they are getting blade all wrong.

First of all it's inaccurate to refer to the Super CAK as a CAK because it is really not a AK variant at all. The blade is more of a M43 and Dui Chirra hybrid. Which is why I refer to it as the WW3 model. What makes it super? Its remarkably light weight. It is VERY light, quick, and agile but has the cleaving power of an Ang Khola or M43. Imagine a big 20" beast of a khukri which because it only weighs about 30 oz, handles more like a Sirupati. It really is more of a sword than anything else, and a masterfully made one.

Until the kami's bring the weight on the recent interpretations WAY DOWN, those are NOT Super CAK's.

These are my big boys....HI Tamang and Swamp Rat Battle Rat.

Himalayan Imports Bonecutter - 16-1/4” overall - 11-1/4” blade - 3/8” spine - 694 grams (24oz)
Without doubt this is one of the best all around knives and one of the best kukri you can find anywhere!

Sometimes you need to absolutely positively destroy something right away!

My old Camillus BK9,and my Battle Rat.I mostly use the BK9 though. The Camillus version is a little thicker and heavier than the current offering.I've grown quite fond of it over the last several years.

I see some of you guys have been inquiring about the Himalayan Imports Farm Knife

Yeah, im still on the fence about it, i wish the blade was a couple inches longer for extra chopping power.

Right now though i made the mistake of looking at all the Condor line and have a Golok on order and want a Parang, Boomslang and Thai Enep machete..........and most of their bigger knives/machetes.

Actually it's a strange blade. It seems bigger than it is when it's in my hand.

But I'll say this: it is one VICIOUS cutting tool. As I've said elsewhere, it's like a weaponized meat cleaver.

If you really like it a lot, but want one with a longer blade, email Yangdu your request and she can make it happen. It will cost a bit more and you might be waiting a while, but you can get one.

Good to know about custom Farm knives, ill file that away. Im still not sure im totally comfortable with the blessing and ceremony that goes into their blades, it seems a little disrespectful for me to be using it while not believing in their customs.

I'm not big on fixed blades, but I do use an Ontario machete. Pretty nice, once you put an edge on it.

Well i got my Golok in and so far im fairly impressed. I havent had a chance to use it much but tests on so firewood rounds show it to be quite the chopper.

With the thickness its more like a short sword than a machete, love it.

And of course now i have the Parang on order, too bad they dont make a longer/bigger Golok as well.
