The one knife that I really want that I do not have in my collection is a good scout knife. They are beautiful and appear to be very useful. Any suggestions on a good one? Pictures appreciated. Thanks.

If you are referring to a typical 4-blade knife, which has a main blade, punch/awl, screwdriver/bottle opener, and can opener - my personal preference for that sort of thing is a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife - one of the Pioneer series variants with alox scales. If using it for the traditional scouting-type activities of camping and light woodcraft, I would go for the Farmer version which includes a serviceable saw.

Boker had the best I've tried, but I've really been tempted by the MKM model, malga, with m390 blade. The MKM is like a modern take on the scout knife.

I tend to use SAK's most often though, for such uses. I gave away the last of my scout knives recently after getting some of the more expensive SAK's with a wider range of tools. The saw has proven to be a very nice tool for me for crafting purposes.

The Malga 6 is on my list to purchase.

My favorite is the Vic Evolution Grip 14, which I carry EVERY day, along with something else, which changes frequently.

I'm fond of the Case Scout/Camp Knife myself.

I was thinking Case as well, but I like this model as it's a bit bigger and stouter than a typical scout.pVq49qx.jpg
Although Rough Ryder makes (made?) A decent copy of the Case. But honestly a good old Camillus or Ulster is hard to beat and still relatively common.

Beat me to it. You took the words right out of my mouth. The 93mm Alox knives are, IMHO, top of the heap.

What’s that blade next to the main blade? Can opener? How is it used?

I have one of those MKMs (Malga 6) and I really like it. I travel a lot, including a long daily commute by train, and it has come in very handy. Sometimes, I will buy some cut fruit or melon from the station's little grocery and the fork, which I figured wouldn't see much use, keeps my fingers (and keyboard and phone) from getting all sticky.
