Left the EdgePro in the case, and decided to go "folksy" and freehand the reprofile and finished edge! :D Mind you, I do not have a lot of freehanding stuff but it was a bunch of fun! :D (Dia-sharp course, Spyderco profile set, Spyderco 306 UF)

Thanks for looking!

So Lo, as you have remarked before, you and I have very similar tastes, in several things. I have that same scout, the green river bone one- and out of all of my knives, it is one of my very favorites. That's the knife that set the GEC hook for me. It really is stunning. I wonder if the "River Blue Bone" is as nice. I suppose there's one way to find out.

And what a killer edge you put on that thing! It looks like it could cut you just by looking at it. I'm working on my freehand skills- but it looks like you have me beat, big time. Good stuff, brother!

Moon, I'm just glad you let us low lives have a couple leftovers! :D

Really though, the Scout is my favorite hands down. I would highly recommend this knife to anybody. BTW I am not a trapper by trade(:D) so I use the clip blade for food and the other one for utility.

What you you guys use each blade for? (might make a nice thread on its own?)

So-Lo, that green bone is exceptional, makes me want to get another No.73 Liner lock in Tractor Green.

So-Lo, nice collection you have going there:thumbup::thumbup:

Just picked up a new one myself:

I have been looking for my first slippie (other than the made in China Buck) and I like the
GEC's the most probably a oiled cow bone scout but I also really like the barlows.
Tough decision but the 2 blades and lower price on the Scout means I will probably pull the trigger tonight.

Why not try a GEC single blade liner lock? 3.75" or 4.25" gives a fine handfull.

sorry for resurrectiong an old thread, but single picture isnt worth a thread.
GEC Barlow arrived today… like much so far

Man, I wish my barlow's stag was that nice. My scout has some nice ones though.
