Zero Tolerance 0801 Series Goodness

The 0801 series is more knife for the money than anything I've seen.

The only thing it lacks is jimping -- a puzzling omission.

Perhaps ZT will add it in version No. 2 and I'll have to buy it all over again.
 
Nice collection.You must really like the 0801. I've never handled that model ,I like the high grinds.:thumbup:

These pics make me that more ready for my 801BW to come in from Kershawguy! It will be my first 801 and my first blackwash ZT.
 
I can't wait to get a 0801! I'm debating between 0801, 0801BW, or 0801BLK! What is your favorite between these? (question addressed to OP and anyone else who may have some input)

I'm going to guess that it will be astronomically expensive. And that's if you can find someone who'll sell theirs.

Very nice collection Ramzar :thumbup: I'd like to see one of the all black ones with the flats on the scales sanded down to show the raw ti, maybe leaving the black on the pivot flat?

I have all 3, and my favorite is whichever is currently in my hand. It only gets tricky when I have one in each hand. :rolleyes:

They each have their benefits. If you want something to carry that won't show much wear, the 0801BW is your best bet. If you tend to wear darker pants and don't want the knife to "pop" in contrast, you might want the 0801BLK.

For that worn look 0801BW wins hands down. With the DLC on the handle the 0801BLK gives you the best traction/grip.

Great point! RamZar, can you tell me anything more about the 0801USN version? I'd never seen it before.

ZT 0801USN was made for the USN Gathering in Las Vegas on August 28-30, were only sold there for $200 cash each and only one per person. Not that many were made so they'll be hard to find.

Yes, other than the CF ones (question was 0801, 0801BW and 0801BLK). The DLC coating takes away from the slippery titanium. On the BW ones some of the coating is thinned.
