I sent you a visitor message to try to point you in a helpful direction.
As for the knife, the detent was a bit much for my sissy fingers, so I loosened the pivot just a bit (which also centered the blade), and then put some nano-oil in the detent hole. Flipping it is now much more manageable for me (Edward Sissyhands).

#370 checking in. Awesome knife!! I like the smooth clean handles more than the upgrade in steel.
Yes, mine has the funky detent hole thing too. Doesn't bother me one bit. I think KershawGuy has the right idea. The detent is nice and strong, but not overly strong.

BTW, this version of the knife weights 2 grams more at 167g, according to my kitchen scale, than the standard 0801, in case anyone was curious.

See how the detent track starts exactly where the counter sink is closest to the hole. I'm willing to bet that the closer you get those two edges to line up, the stronger the detent. I think if the counter was perfectly centered over the other hole, the detent wouldn't be as snappy.

Thanks! Glad to hear there are others with the same detent. I noticed that groove on the tang as well. I can't remember what other knife I've seen that on.

Here's another thing I just noticed. There's a extra machined groove or line on the blade tang. I bet thats the identifier mark for the s110v blades.

The standard 0801 is one of my favorite ZT's to date. My first KVT flipper. Hopefully one day I'll get to handle one of these. I'm curious about the stiffer detent.

Ahh mine finally made it! and only 5 days late! I'm sure the weather up north is to blame for the USPS delay. Mine has the same odd detent hole that others have pointed out. That said, It's the nicest detent I've ever felt. This is my third KVT knife and definitely the quickest to deploy. Very firm detent and I don't ever see this thing failing to deploy completely. SN is 0382.

If that list is true, and each got ~30 (we know BHQ at the very least got more than 30), we're still in line for a release of only 300 pieces. I'm still guessing 200 here in the US and 100 for Europe.
