Zero Tolerance Current/Upcoming/Discontinued Models

I know many think the 0512 is boring, but I held one the other day and it is really nice. Feels great in the hand and fires hard. It looks so much better in person. I wish I had a local knife store I could buy it from, but I have not found a stocking dealer in Central Florida.

Any chance the 0452 will come out in this configuration? That'd be an insta-buy for me.

What model is that one on the left side of your picture, please? Lance

That's an 0456. It's a chonk. I'm pretty sure it's plus of 6 oz. despite having a relatively compact profile. I really like the blade design. That modified Wharnie shape is right up my alley. I like the design and it is really comfy in-hand - but I think some internal milling would have gone a long way in making it feel a bit more balanced for its size. The finish work is choice.

Also - don't see that Rexford 0808 on the right ( crufflers crufflers ) get mentioned much, but I love that blade and the grip ergos. IMO, one of the best blade profiles ZT has ever released for an EDC. I wish ZT would do more blade designs like this. Same thing though - could use a little de-chonking to make it more balanced - that back spacer is like an anchor.

I had an 0808 and loved it but had a bad heat treat. Such a good looking knife. I'd pay a pretty penny for a magnacut or m390/20cv version.

Thank you so much for all of the additional information. I think I’m going to look into one of those 0456 models. I really like it! Lance

The 0456 is probably the ZT of mine that I feel is probably the most bombproof. Thick wide blade, full titanium slab handles, etc. One of the only ones I have that didn't fail the spine whack "challenge".

I don't carry it often, but it's a damn beast. I feel like it's the RoboCop version of the Needs Work Kershaw made years ago. Like the Needs Work ran into a bad situation and like the coked up 80s Execs of OCP, Kai decided to rebuild it. It really is a high quality if stupid heavy for its size knife.

0456BW - one of the most unexpectedly well- balanced and ergonomic ZT’s for me. Very few knives, even the ones I love and carried for years like the 0452CF feel
locked into my hand and 100% controlled and balanced at all times and flipper geometry that never fails. I wouldn’t change a thing but prefer the black washed. (ok maybe I would change the clip ;)

If you see another one grab it - I doubt you’d get two with bad heat treat. Awesome ZT model… what Rexford or George is not great?
Hope that would be the case... unfortunately, I've seen C&A tests on S35vn from ZT in those days and several others were sub-par for him as well. ZT was actually the reason I hated S35vn for a couple years. Took a Sebenza to get me to realize that it actually is a good to great steel :-)

ELMAX was the best then.

Not the most popular model because kinda jenky with speedsafe, but I love the Elmax 0566 CF's
You can actually de-assist those models because they have a detent hole already in the frame. Not the snappiest action like that, but it’s not terrible either. You could do that with a few of them, the 0770 and 0350 also iirc

Yeah ran a de assisted one for awhile and it was pretty good

I like it too, bought it. Micarta is usually my favorite scale material, and the brown is something different. The clip is my one issue, it’s really tough with heavier jeans on to slide it on. I think I’m going to look for an aftermarket option.
