IMO they are kind of following marketing trends rather than developing their brand identity
I understand they have a finite production capability and giving the excellent quality they deliver for what is (compared to other standards) a good price for American made knives I am think it is a good thing they make the decision to discontinue some models
However i have sometime the feeling they are acting as a kind of OEM, proposing models by “big names” of the knife community for limited period of time.
Pushing some variations in these models based on their manufacturing capabilities, maybe to draw new designers to test their capacity, rather that based on a knife use.
My ZT-fanboy’s heart turns to other companies... not because of quality or price but just because I am sometime really confused and not sure of what the purpose of one ZT knife can be.
