Zero Tolerance Current/Upcoming/Discontinued Models

So, what am I going to think about the 0460ti? I own a few ZT's and use and try to EDC most of my knives. My favorite ZT's to carry, are my 0450cf and 0562ti. I found a great price on the 0460ti and have never owned a Titanium ZT.

Coming soon, the beefy ZT 0308 with a 3.75" blade length of stonewashed 20CV (0.156" thick), weighing 6.9 ounces, 3D textured bead-blasted titanium back and coyote tan G-10 front, adjustable custom pivot nut, titanium frame lock with steel lock bar insert, KVT ball bearings flipper opening and a street price of $300.00.

Reminds me of the old 0300/0301 series but better with KVT ball bearings instead of SpeedSafe Assisted Opening and 20CV instead of S30V for $300 vs. $275!

I dunno if I will put my money where my mouth is as I feel like I'm kinda growing beyond ZTs, but this is what a lot I'd folks have been asking for. Big ol' 300 series family, "updated" with barings...the funny thing is, I'm kinda moving back toward PB washers in terms of preference:oops:

I am one of those people who have been asking/looking forward to the ZT 0301 upgrade. But, this is an an obvious downgraded knife when compared to the ZT 0301. I'm honestly just done with ZT. They haven't come out with an amazing offering since the 0560BW.

I'm kinda with you. After buying a couple thousand dollars worth of them and being a bit lukewarm to them, I decided to spend just a bit more money and get into the next tier of knives. I won't splurge on them like I did ZT, but I'm pretty meh to them as of now.

I still may give the 230 a shot. I like a small slipjoint, and it looks well made. I'm also watching for a nice 4" blade hard use fixed blade. DLT offered me a hellova deal last year on an old model they had found, but I was broke at the time;) I'm sure that one is long gone, but I'm still holding out for something similar. The other stuff...pass.

Ok, I’ll be honest, what the hell is the adjustable pivot nut for?

I have an answer for that, but it would get this thread moved to W&C;)

My guess, they liked the look/performance of that over bolt and nut set up on the 300/209. The nut made tuning in the knife to your preference of deployment easier. Kinda like a CRK Inkosi, but not as fine tuned.

I think it looks great - and answers the call of the haters that have been singing the "bring back the old school tough knife" song. Might be my new EDC - I like bigger knives overall so the size appeals to me.

Can't wait to get my sweaty hands on one.

By the way - complaining about the pocket clip is like buying a new Ferrari and complaining the radio is tuned to the wrong station. Just my opinion.

Well not exactly. ZT clips can be swapped out, sure, but they aren't very deep if that is important to you. It's more like buying a Ferrari and wondering why the windshield wiper switch is mounted in the back of the glovebox.

I never had an issue with them. Actually, I have never been put off by any pocket clip. I just deal with it as part of the design.

Curious on why you perceive the new ZT 0308 to be "an obvious downgraded knife when compared to the ZT 0301"?

It has better steel and KVT ball bearings instead of Assisted Opening SpeedSafe for just $25 more. It's about the same size but weighs 1.1 ounces less with the same 3D texturing on both sides.

I'd like to see a blackwashed version!

Obviously to sell $20 custom pivot tools.

Dude, if I'm dropping a quarter mil on a car, they'd damn well better set the radio station for me ahead of time.
