Unless my alphabetic abilities have failed me, I didn't see a ZT forum available so I thought I'd post here.

ZT is one of the few major manufacturers of knives I've yet to experience. I'm looking for something in the same category of Spyderco PM2- all around utility, good steel, smooth action, comfy ergos. Also, because ZTs are (I think) all flippers, this could be my off hand carry knife (I'm more coordinated with flippers than the Spydie hole off hand). I know, I know- get practicing...

Wide open to suggestions. 0450CF, 0808, 0804CF are each appealing to me.

ZT 0562 is what you need. Similar in size to the PM2, great steel (Elmax, S35VN, or 20CV on the 0562 CF), super ergonomic, well priced, I would put it in the same category as the PM2 as an exceptional EDC option. I'm not really a guy who likes Ti framelocks or flippers, but I don own a few ZT models. They blow every other flipped I've owned out of the water, and they are very reasonably priced. ZT really has their flipper game dialed in.

That is a contender! Beautiful knife- thank you for the suggestion. I need to do some research on Elmax- what's a Crucible comparison? Even still, I'm hankering for S35VN.

I HIGHLY recommend the ZT 0450. It's by far my favorite knife and the best flipper I have ever used. Perfect size, good gimping, amazing flipper, super lightweight, BUY IT! :)

I really wish ZT would make a 3" or less flipper. imagine if they made a 0392 mini with a 3" blade. I've never have to buy another knife.

Any thoughts on the 0450G10 sprint run?

I only have the Ti version so I cant give you to much input but It looks nice haha. If you are intrigued by the lower price I would say the Ti is worth it. Sorry, I cant help to much on this one.

Well I recently acquired a ZT 0550 from the exchange, Its probably my favorite ZT now. I have the 0450 g10. Its a great knife, I can grip it easily with four fingers, and it flips like a charm. I'm just wondering how much pressure that g10 scale can take, there is no steel liner supporting it. I also got mine anodized bronze from Whitty. It matches my 0562cf which I heartily reccomend you to buy as your first ZT.

Bronze? I need some pics!

The 0562 is a gem. Heavier than a PM2, if that's a factor, but everything from the ergos to the blade shape to the fit and finish is top-flight. Highly recommended.

I vote ZT 0770cf lightweight and the wharncliffe/ sheepsfoot type blade is excellent for utility, food prep, etc. Because it's such a good slicer. Blade shape seems real similar to a CRK insingo. Carbon fiber handle scales are super lightweight and have excellent ergos. I really dig the gimping on the flipper tab too.

My favorite ZTs (all in S35VN btw):

0452, which gets a lot of love

the 0909, which gets some decent love

and the 0220, which doesn't seem to get a lot of love

Three very different knives from three cool collaborators. That, honestly, is the best thing about ZT. If you just judge them on mechanics they're a bit ... boring. >_>

Why does the 920 seem to get no love? I don't own one yet but I intend to!

So what's the deal, why is it never mentioned?
