When the did we get icecream.
I got mine back in the spring and it was 20cv. Don't know how much farther back the change was.

My only experience with ZT so far are the 0456 and the 0562
IMO the 0562 is the winner by far.

Pretty sure the 204p to 20cv transition happened sometime 3rd quarter 2016.

What is it about the 0562 that people love so much? I've never been able to convince myself that the 0562 had anything to offer me.
I do like the 0456 better now that I got over the it's too nice phase.

The ergonomics on the 562 are very good, plus the blade grind makes for a fantastic slicer. All around it's a very good blade. Almost all those who've had one love it and can't find very much to complain about.

However, if you're familiar with the Hinderer ZT's then aside from the grind there really isn't much in terms of differences. All are ergonomic marvels and all are robust, very capable knives regardless of the use you may put them through.

I love them all but I'm a non apologetic ZT diehard so there's that too.

Nobody mentioned the ZT 0770. It comes with different scales and steels. Nice size and very light to carry. It is basically the same look as the Kershaw Knockout but better materials and scales

Well I like my Kershaw Knockout with the Elmax steel. I haven't gotten around to buying a 770 yet, it is on my list though.

I left out a few details...I own an 0560, 0550, and XM18 (3.5"); hence not seeing what the 0562 has to offer for me. Once I got rid of the stock scale, the 0550 became one of my favorite knives (my most carried version sports a copper scale). I'm a ZT fan, as well - I wasn't knocking the brand, or the knife...just wondering if there was sufficient reason to actually buy an 0562.

My first ZT is the 0562cf then the 0620cf (like the Emerson Wave) then I was fortunate to get a ZT0777BLK and it is now my favorite, it's light, has M390 and looks great. I work in an office so not real hard use, makes an awesome edc, the only downside is they are hard to get.. if you get An XT mentioned on this thread you won'the go wtong. Great company, American made, quality materials.
