Zip-ties on knives

I had a de-waved Commander once upon a time; not my work... There's not even a spot to add zip ties to help on this knife fwiw.

It was stolen from me in a trade gone bad so I never got the chance to re-wave it LOL.

Can someone please Photoshop zip tie this guy's Emerson so he knows what he's missing out on? :)

Man, all you have to do is take off the thumb disk and go to a hardware store and get a screw that fits and is taller than the spine. Boom. Re-waved.

I've held off commenting on this thread , I've bitten my tounge, I've gone for long walks , I've talked it over with a therapist ,I've tried to keep my mind busy and not think off this .

Buttttttttttt..........

" I can't stand the look of all those Zip ties cobbled onto the blades of all those great looking knives ."

There , I said it out loud for all the world to know , I feel better now .

That is seriously funny stuff there.
I do agree it's not my cup of tea. Function comes before aesthetics for others, I much prefer when those two worlds come together.

I can open it that way or with just the thumb...except when wearing winter gloves that have 200 grams of Thinsulate insulation.
Unlined leather gloves or ones with Kevlar lining work fine with it, but once winter rolls around, the gloves become too thick to do so.

Can you carry a fixed blade?

What're your thoughts on something like this?

:D

Thanks guys; I needed a chuckle this morning... If I still had the knife believe me I'd mod it somehow... :D:thumbup:;)

I don't like zip ties on knives, they look horrible and don't need to or feel the urge to do something like that to my knives. If I cannot open a knife as it came from the factory, then that is probably not for me. I'm satisfied with the way things come from the factory (mostly), no need to add some extra trinketry. For the most part, I really don't concern myself with whatever aesthetic or physical changes people do with their property. It is somewhat hilarious to see some of the pictures though.

Now you have to throw it against the wall a few times, set it on fire, spit on them, and run it all over with a large delivery truck. Then it will be complete. ;)

I've always liked the Pkal because the wave is removable if you don't like plus it has a clean (although goofy) look... :foot:;)

I finally tried it, but turned out to be a little bulky, and not nearly as easy to open as I thought. [emoji56]
