Zt 0350

Just went to the Kershaw factory today, and held one. You guys are gonna love it! :D

It's like a blur-tank. The "liner lock" is as thick as my leek and groove frame lock.

I'm waiting to get mine, since I'm low on funds.

Kneedeep, I signed up for that "social group," but how would a person know about that without clicking on the link you posted? I don't see a "social group" section on the main page. I think that is a great substitute in this time without a Kershaw forum. Great job!

You should be able to click Community in the blue menu bar above (not the forum links at the top).

Already paid for, and on the fast track from my favorite supplier! I should have it before some of the web stores start shipping. Can't wait!

Just orderd one from knifeworks. Well pre-order. I carry benchmades most of the time but the ZT knives look so well made . S30V G-10 assisted opening WOW !

Update on the 350...we got our first shipment. Contacting those on our wait list. We will not have enough to go around in this first shipment. More are coming tho.
REALLY nice knife!

Got mine today from KnifeWorks... They did a good job on it. I've never owned a ZT, but several of Kershaw's leeks, cyclone, needs work, etc. It actually reminds me of a G10 scaled mini-Cyclone. Except I stole a mini-Cyclone off E-bay for about $25. I digress.

It's a hefty lil knife, but no where near the weight of it's bigger brother. It feels suitably weighted for it's size - if that makes sense. It's small for a 'tactical' knife, but my folders are mostly for fun anyway. Overall a nice design and feels good in the hand.

I'm getting a little upset with Knifecenter. I placed an order for one of these (and some other stuff) last Thursday because I was told on the phone that they were getting them in "that afternoon". I just called today and they're telling me they should have them "by the end of next week". I'm getting ready to cancel and just order the other stuff from somewhere else. I assume the ones at Knifeworks are gone?

Looks to me that they still got 'em.. free shipping too. Plain or combo.

Here is a comparison picture with some of my other knives... One thing to mention, the stats I've seen list the knife at 4.8 ounces. Mine comes in at 6.3 ounces. The ZT website does not currently list the weight.

Those things look awesome and I really want to get my hands on one! I'm looking forward to reading some reviews in the next few days as deliveries start coming in.

That's a pretty big dissapointment to me! I sold my 0301 because I felt it was too heavy and bought this thinking (based on published stats) that it was going to be almost half the weight.

But if I had known it would come in at over 6 oz I would never have considered purchasing this knife. For the extra 2 oz weight I would rather have the solid Ti Framelock and Extra Beefy Pivot of the 0300 series.

Will know for sure once mine arrives (tomorrow) but right now I'm guessing this will be a disappointment and that mine will get flipped quickly.

I was under the impression it'd be lighter too... I traded off some BM Mini-Rukus because of the weight. These ZT's weigh more!

As a comparison, the BM Stryker (top knife) weighs about 3.7 oz, or 2.5 ounces less. Doesn't seem like much, but it's substantial. and the blade on the Stryker is almost half an inch longer.

Yeah i thnk I am going to drop the 350 from my want list due to the weight.

Glad i checked this beforehand.

Unfortunately, ZT/Kershaw did the same thing on the 0500 Mudd. IIRC, they listed it in the 5 oz. range, but reviewers said it weighed around what an 0200 weighs (In the 7 oz. range).

That is too bad because I tend to stay away from "heavier" folders. I can't say I have a "limit", but typically I've found that under 5 oz. seems to be good for me (4 oz. or less is preferable, though).

Otherwise, it does look like a VERY nice knife & size reduction is definitely a step in the right direction. Question, are the liners SS or Ti? If they're SS, that might be why the knife's heavier (Perhaps the prototype had Ti liners?).

Big red, what is the second knife down?

Sorry to stray off topic, but to answer the question the second knife down is the new Benchmade Torrent. It's probably my current favorite. Low ride clip, nitrous assist, nicely contoured g10 scales, my perfect 'casual friday' knife for jeans day at the office. You can't see it, but the spacer is somewhat fancy designed and gives it a bit of class in my opinion. Great knife.
