Zt 0392 blu bowie

Sog for example is doing great job (SOG Super Bowie for example) or Buck 110, 119 all great looking knives. Benchmade Crooked River comes to mind as another excellent design as something more modern .
Yeah, all nice knives.

Have the 110, the 119 and a fixed blade SOG 'Bowie.'

This model has made me really want a ZT0392. So good looking lol. Also gonna parrot the point that at this point can we just make the 392 a production model? Please?

I like it, looks like a Hinderer bowie, it's exactly what everyone has been bugging ZT for. Here's your chance.

Some of the best ZT LE knives are classic showpieces and thus somewhat impractical. The 0392 series are imminently useable and practical albeit the colors on some very polarizing.

Most people forget that an all titanium Hinderer XM/Eklipse adds $200 to the price of a Hinderer and Hinderers have inferior flipper action, blade steel, washers, etc. I have two XMs and never use them. I hear the latest MP-1 and Half-Track are much better in every way but very pricey.

RamZar - thanks for updating us of the latest ZT limited run. With that being said, I am with the guy that no matter what it is still a ZT not a Hinderer. I wont agree Hinderers have an inferior flipping action to ZTs. Are ZTs more snappy? Yes. But that does not equal to more superior, at least to me.

As for this ZT 0392 bowie, once again, I would pick the true Hinderer xm-18 bowie, and I did.

I won't get into the debate over Hinderer flipping action versus ZT (and basically all other modern flippers). But I will say that after owning 9 XM-18s of various configurations, I know one thing: ZTs cut way, way better than Hinderers. There's no argument there, in my humble opinion.

I think that's actually my issue with the 0392. As a regular offering it looks like it would be an excellent knife, but my cynicism tends to take over when there are multiple highly priced runs with no difference but colored hardware. On the plus side, I like the new blade shape, but my overall feeling about ZT LEs remains the same, they're largely silly conceits.

I agree with this. And Spydercos cut better than ZT's.

Hinderers are also more rubust than ZT's. And ZT's are more rubust than Spydercos.

You pick the one that suits your intended use.

I think this is basically right. Although I think some ZTs are on par with Hinderers in terms of robustness. Spydercos are hands down the best cutters.

But this ZT is just plain ugly. I think it is in proportions.

I don't like the profile shot in Knifebro's post, from that perspective the knife looks horrible. I think that picture is not representative due to the background. BUT, the fact that there appears to a straight angle that runs underneath the knife, from tip to end, screws up the aesthetics. The Hinderer Bowie has a slight curve underneath it in the open position, this ZT does not appear to have that.

My friend I twnd to agree with you. And I would also like to add that Opinels and Moras cut better than most ZTs. People are making mistakes if they choose Hinderers because they cut better than other brands.

The 0392 series is one of my absolute favorite production knives. Definitely regret selling my original 0392, will likely buy again (even though that violates one of my collection rules). Certainly looking forward to the Bowie version.

I agree w/ you. Hinderers are not inferior to ZT's. Some might say ZT tries too hard. I like ZT as well but in this case I would go w/ the Hinderer.

I am all in.... In general I am into ZTs and the Bowie is my favorite blade shape. Throw in the ZT flipping action, what's not to love?

I don't like the price point...a bit rich for me, although I love ZT's. Had two XM's; sold them quickly.

Love the hardware and color, not a fan of the Bowie shaped blade at all since they make long, fine and fragile tip that I usually break in half a second flat.

It's a must-have for me. I have all of the six previous versions, plus a second 0392BLKGRN that is often picked for the day out of my carry rotation.
