ZT 0392 release day on 2/18!

Well it appears the demand is enough to break multiple servers.

Any IT experts care to opine now? :D

...or anyone want to eat crow and admit that Shopatron isn't really that bad.
 
I'm just sitting back and watching the show. Cool looking knife but not my style.

Nope...got the order receipt but no confirmation email. Called to confirm and they said they had no order on file for a 0392. I can't believe it!
 
I got my confirmation email from BHQ. This will be the first time I have scored a limited release ZT. I was not angry the other times I didn't, and I wouldn't have been this time. The chaos is part of the fun for me, and I certainly don't need this knife. Hope I like it, I like most Hinderer designs. If I don't I doubt I will have a tough time unloading it.
 
shopatron starting to not look so bad guys..... a bunch of big name dealers crashing and slowing down like this shows just how instense this can be on a system.

I hear what you are saying, but it is not just because I did not get one. IMHO, the way they did it just created frustration for a lot of customers. I would add that the dealers that I spoke with were not happy about the way it went down either. The two dealers I spoke with said that there were a lot of customers that has similar experiences to mine (in cart but not able to complete the sale).

Again, this is just my opinion, but I think that ZT needs to find a way to do this that does not leave customers unhappy with the process.

Edit to add - my suggestion is a lottery. some win, some lose, but nobody should be pissed off at the end of the process.
 
I don't think the issue is how these knives are sold. It's simply that ZT makes too few of them. I like how Spyderco makes 1200 of most of their sprint runs. Plenty to go around. Why limit these awesome knives to only 150 or 300? The demand is there. All they end up doing is making extra money for the flippers and pissing off some customers along the way. I'm happy because I got one but I just don't understand why they don't make more?
 
Anyone get a conformation email from going gear? I have a order number and the thing that's they tell you print out after you order. Also they were quick to take the money from my bank LOL

I received a confirmation email from GG. And yes they were quick to charge my card too!
