I hear what you are saying, but it is not just because I did not get one. IMHO, the way they did it just created frustration for a lot of customers. I would add that the dealers that I spoke with were not happy about the way it went down either. The two dealers I spoke with said that there were a lot of customers that has similar experiences to mine (in cart but not able to complete the sale).
Again, this is just my opinion, but I think that ZT needs to find a way to do this that does not leave customers unhappy with the process.
I received a confirmation email from GG. And yes they were quick to charge my card too!
Still trying to get checked out at GP!
Anyone complete an order from KnifeCenter and receive a confirmation email yet? I'm afraid I may have missed out.
House of Blades order #, confirmation email, card charged!
Me too. It just keeps showing me the same screen over and over. I got as far as put my CC number in, then it started over![]()
I don't think the issue is how these knives are sold. It's simply that ZT makes too few of them. I like how Spyderco makes 1200 of most of their sprint runs. Plenty to go around. Why limit these awesome knives to only 150 or 300? The demand is there. All they end up doing is making extra money for the flippers and pissing off some customers along the way. I'm happy because I got one but I just don't understand why they don't make more?
Why would the dealers be unhappy? They had the choice to sell them and make money. It's their websites that don't allocate a spot for each knife and put it on hold throughout the checkout process. That's not KAIs fault. If I owned a knife retail website, I would be upset about the LE's being sold direct. I own a business and used to have a retail website. Trust me. Retailers want the cherry picks.
GP's web site appears to be down at the moment. I wonder why?Still trying to get checked out at GP!
Got one from BHQ. I still won't believe it until it's in my hands.
My thoughts EXACTLY - what's the point of this LE nonsense? To appease flippers who make several hundred dollars off YOUR product or to appease the hardcore collectors who will never take the knife out of its box and (shocker) cut with it? The only people you're hurting are the ones who really LIKE the design and want to use and enjoy it. Make enough to go around to those who want them - I'd be interested to hear any reasonable explanations as to why that can't be accomplished.
I really like ZT knives, but I think they are making some really poor decisions, many of which have led me to look elsewhere for my go-to knives. I wish they didn't do business this way. No matter how many of the usual ZT fanboys come around here to defend ZT tooth and nail, there are a LOT of frustrated people today (which is deja vu, shockingly).
