Zt 0392

Just got an email from HOB that my ZT 392 order has been cancelled and refunded. Be nice if ZT actually gave the knives to companies that have systems that can handle this type of event. Really disappointing to think I had one and 3 hours later they tell me I don't....

I had my order in 30 seconds after the 0392 popped up in a search at Blade HQ, but I just got the email telling me FU dumbass, you thought you scored one, but your a loooooooooseeeeeerrrrr.

Lame.

So, it sounds like this method was no better than buying direct from KAI for the LE knives.

So the fun begins.

I can comprehend the allure of being overtly dramatic...but it's not really fair to the dealer who never sent you such an email.

My bad, I am in disbelief that they sold out in 30 seconds. Here's what they really said:

"Due to the sheer volume of website traffic and demand, we oversold our allocation of the Zero Tolerance Rick Hinderer 0392 Factory Custom Knife (3.5" Working Finish) ZT. We sincerely regret this situation.
Unfortunately, your order was one that did not make the cutoff. Your order has been canceled and the transaction has been voided. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience.
To help conciliate, we will send you a $100.00 Blade HQ Gift Card. The Gift Card Code will be emailed to you within the next 24 hours.

Kind Regards,
Anna"

So I guess I made $100 bucks for the hassle, but I would have rather scored a 0392.

Here's an idea. Maybe KAI should set up a subforum here and run 'ganzaas on their LE's like Jerry does. Then the only thing that would shut down is Bladeforums!

Oh wait! . . . nevermind. ;)

So to recap (correct me if I'm wrong)

Blade HQ -- oversold, offering $100 gift cards
Knifecenter -- oversold, offering $5 gift cards
Haus of Blades -- oversold
GP Knives -- website experience from hell, haha
Going Gear -- all good?

BHQ is no joke - that's outstanding customer service. However, sad that they are taking a hit of that magnitude to make up for the situation that could have been made much easier by ZT.

Yup. ZT put these dealers in a precarious situation. Guess thats what their plan was from the start of this. Takes the heat off them this time around cuz they knew this was going to be a cluster f.

I had one in my shopping cart at GPKnives and every time I tried to check out, the website would either time-out or crash altogether. Never again will I get sucked into another ZT LE purchase and all of the crazy BS that accompanies it. I guess now I'll just wait for the release of the Eklipse series with the new blade grinds, tanto just is not my cup of tea.

Agreed, Blade HQ has always been awesome to me. I was pretty surprised at that email.

Or they realized that no matter how it is handled people will piss and moan...
