Zt 0392

That is extremely generous of BladeHQ. I scored one from them, at least as far as I know, but I almost hope mine is cancelled if I get $100 gift card lol.

And as far as the 0392 goes, I can see the secondary prices being pretty high. That will make it very tempting for many to flip for a profit even if they didn't buy the knife as such. I may be tempted myself if prices get too ridiculous.

Thanks, will do.

So did you get one? I checked out just about the same time you did and I got follow up e-mail at 1346 saying my order is being processed and an email will be sent with your tracking number once the order has shipped.

After my experience with GPK today, I regret ever giving them my biz. If they couldn't handle this event, they shouldn't have been on the list. BHQ will be getting my future online biz!:D

I would say that $1500 is already too ridiculous. Seriously, who in their right mind would buy a ZT for twice the cost of a Hinderer at secondary market prices?

Man, where did I put that P.T. Barnum quote . . .

I got the second email also that said exactly the same thing as yours.

Trying to get one from GPKNIVES was a roller coaster.
mine is "pending"
As most people on here I have been wanting since it was announced.
congratulations to the one's who got it:)
I may not be on that boat... well see

Or they realized that no matter how it is handled people will piss and moan...

This is an incorrect statement, you are implying that anything that ZT could have done would have resulted in the same way. The truth of the matter is, had ZT produced 1000 of these knives, (which most assuredly would have sold out in time so no loss to ZT), most everyone who would have wanted one would have been able to get one. How much of the chaos, confusion and vitriol that we have seen today would have been avoided? My guess is somewhere in the neighborhood of all of it, and as icing on the cake, the flippers would have been out of luck for the most part.

Yeah im pretty pissed. Got an email from House Of Blades that they were refunding my paypal because they sold to many. I even called them. Pissed I took off work just to get a chance to score one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear you. I did not buy this to flip but if someone offered me 1500 for it I think it might find a new home. ZT is on a roll with all their new knives that are out or soon to be out. I have the 0620CF and an 0562CF on the way and I'm looking real hard at the 0630. ZT is doing a great job with the Emerson collaborations. ZT is putting me in the poor house.

You climbed to them mountain top, bro. lol

Good luck, I hope it works out for you.

Yup. ZT put these dealers in a precarious situation. Guess thats what their plan was from the start of this. Takes the heat off them this time around cuz they knew this was going to be a cluster f.

I'm betting every dealer who got the 392 would do it over again.

ZTs plan was, let's get these knives that have been sitting here out into the world instead of waiting on the shopatron fix.

Everyone just knows the grass is always green on the other side.

If ZT would have put a poll up asking people if they wanted to wait another several months before the 392 was released or if people wanted to go the dealer route, the dealer route would have won no contest.

Now that the dealer route didn't work out as well as everyone had hoped, they are wishing for shopatron back.

If any dealer comes out and says they regret getting the 0392, i'll be shocked.

I couldn't agree more. I spent hours trying to complete my transaction. Entered my card info too many times to count. They won't ever see a dime from me in the future.

Also...let's try and keep this positive and not bash ZT or each other?

This is why the other thread was locked down today I'm sure.

Easy guys, easy. GPK is a quality operation. They just got overwhelmed is all.

Really my 0e 92 is in the cart at bladehq go to put in credit card hit pay knife is gone the rest of my order sharpeners there ready to be charged. That crappy for bladehq to do to me or anyone. GP server problems wow, but they answered phone apoligized and was helpful no 0392 but they at least took the time to explain. Whats an extra hundred or so for a knife I want to collect not sell no big deal but this was a huge disappointment

Yeah Blade Hq is top notch. I buy most of my knives from them. The reason I went with House of Blades was because Blade Hq site was down. Id rather think I missed the sale then actually think I scored one to find out hours later that they sold to many and refunding my money with just a "sorry" Never again will I buy form them.

My bad, I am in disbelief that they sold out in 30 seconds. Here's what they really said:

"Due to the sheer volume of website traffic and demand, we oversold our allocation of the Zero Tolerance Rick Hinderer 0392 Factory Custom Knife (3.5" Working Finish) ZT. We sincerely regret this situation.
Unfortunately, your order was one that did not make the cutoff. Your order has been canceled and the transaction has been voided. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience.
To help conciliate, we will send you a $100.00 Blade HQ Gift Card. The Gift Card Code will be emailed to you within the next 24 hours.

Kind Regards,
Anna"

So I guess I made $100 bucks for the hassle, but I would have rather scored a 0392.

That's cool that Blade HQ gave you $100 to try and make it right...I didn't even get an apology or explanation from HOB, just an email that my $ was refunded....

You clearly don't know BladeForums well enough.

The amount of time it would have taken Rick to produce 1000 sets of hardware would have been forever prompting SCORES of, how come ZT takes forever getting knives to market threads.

Then, if 1000 were released (with serial numbers going over 1000 to account for knives that don't pass QC), it would be the 0560cbcf all over again with scores of, why even bother making it limited if there's so many, why does the resale value on my LE suck, how can you even call it limited, I can't believe I spent so much on this knife when there's so many (all actual complaints brought up here about the 0560cbcf which was the only LE to be produced in the 1000ish piece range, that we know of).
