ZT 0450 keeps cutting my thumb knuckle when closing

Hey guys..how come when I create a thread with actual questions/comments that are meant to fully engage the community I get like 4 views and 2 replies but this idiot can't close a knife correctly and he has the busiest thread on BF right now ? Lol.
You are doing it wrong. Modify your technique

I'm at a loss at this point. I honestly have no idea how you're having trouble closing it. I also have a bunch of frame locks and close this one the same as I close the others.
I'll give ya $50 for it!!
Joe

Joe is such a kind-hearted guy and always willing to help!!!

I looked at the OP's threaded pictures of his closing technique and can certainly see why he's cutting himself. I have to go through digital gymnastics to rotate the knife into that orientation to put my thumb in harm's way. When pulling the knife out-of-pocket, flipping, then closing without thought, my thumb comes in from the side, the flipper tab catches the inboard edge of my thumbnail past the point where the detent ball overrides the tang's end, and the rest of the closing is natural and intuitive.

I practiced the OP's closing technique and after a while finally managed to cut my thumb knuckle. Joe, will you drive me to the OR before I bleed out???

I got ya covered Steve!!!
On my way with super glue and electrical tape!! I can fix anything with them!!!

Thanks, Bro, I knew I could count on ya! BTW, I like that new profile pic of your two good buddies.

Or maybe a little articulated armor ring for the thumb knuckle. Could be a new fashion trend!
