Got mine today. Confirmed none of my available deep pocket clips works. Sent for the right one pictured in this thread.

Was flipping it left handed and got bit on mu thumb knuckle. That lockbar is stiff to push out with my thumb to close the knife hence I started using my left hand to give my right hand a break.

I'm also not liking how that lock bar face "scrapes" as I push it out. I'll see how it is after a week.

Yeah it bothers me a little too but it's not a deal breaker. Maybe that's the reason behind the stiff detent.

Mine has never had this problem, I have serial number 0013, so maybe it's only on later numbers, or just a fluke, or minor inconsistency in the production.

This was yesterday's lunch at my favorite Italian restaurant. Using it on a lamb osso bucco with polenta and pasta. I traded the vegetables that came with it for the polenta and asked for penne instead of angel hair.

The scraping has gone away after a couple of days. I think it's because when you push on the lock bar with your thumb, it is pushing the insert face against the blade. I found an easier way for me to close it: holding the knife right handed normally, I turn the handle in my hand and use my index finger to pull the lock bar toward me and use my thumb to pivot the blade off the locked open position.

It could do with a sharpening though. I've not been happy anymore with the sharpness of my ZTs coming out of the box ever since I've had a couple of Benchmades.

^^^damn fine lunch there. I'd have to wait till dinner to enjoy something like that! Kudos to you sir.

Anyone else notice that the 0452cf is a surprisingly good slicer for the width and blade stock thickness? It just seems to eat cardboard for breakfast and handle most tasks very well; that and i have always been a fan of s35vn.

This draws a vacuum. I've had the knife for only 7 days. I have not constantly flipped it, maybe at most 5 times throughout the day. That is 2 or 3 times less the number of times I was flipping my 560 when I first got it to break it in.

So now, every so often, the lock bar is sticking in the locked open position. does anyone know of a DIY fix? Or do I just wait until it becomes more repetitive before sending it in?

I don't want to give anybody considering this knife to have second thoughts so I'm doing a follow-up. I didn't have any mineral oil at the time so I put just a bit of chapstick and applied it using a paper clip to the portion of the blade being contacted by the lock bar face. That fixed all the issues about the lock bar scraping and also jamming when I flip the knife open.

the amount of chapstick I used was just what I could scrape at the tip of the paper clip.

It fires open and opens and closes very smoothly now.

I've also touched up the edge with just the sharpmaker and it's fairly sharp now.
