I guess this new structure is only better for those who really wants to buy it for personal use. But of course, there will always be people trying to make profit off these LEs.

As far as knife flippers are concerned, there will always be people that capitalize on these opportunities. If the 0454 sold for $750 MSRP, someone would be flipping it for $1500, if knives are sold with a super high MSRP, they will more than likely go to collector with deep pockets and be the stuff of myth for regular folks. Spyderco has the collector club, which is an interesting concept and has been successful for many years. The problem is that many people don't know much about it and it is not heavily discussed or advertised.
