ZT 0801CF In The "Wild"

Grabbed one from Knifeworks, and may cancel my other order. Knifeworks price is crazy! Hopefully they are actually in shop and ship today too!!!
 
I had read somewhere that Kai would be shipping these knives for arrival to various dealers tomorrow which jives with a 5/2 ship date from KW. So we may see more dealers with them in stock in the next day or so.

Did Kai ever announce how many of these they were going to make?
 
Sanity You are def. Correct I will expect dealers will have them next week. Does n e 1 have the weight of the CF version?

According to the stats on KW (and they are now out of stock - 51 sold in under 2 hours) the 0801CF weighs in at 5.7 oz.
 
I have a feeling there's gonna be a bunch of these. Yeah I grabbed one from KW just in case. Thx for the heads up guys!
 
Dang! Missed the KW one and at those prices (including 0770CF) they're making other dealers look bad but there's only so many KW will have in stock.

Missed it too. Hope KC's preorder with the very low price - lower than anyone comes through.

I have a preorder with KC too but they're not very reliable in coming through (other than sending you an email every few weeks for the past year that it is in fact not in stock!). So, I was hoping for another low price one just in case! If it's not meant to be so be it...

I used to order a lot from Knifecenter, but that changed when I noticed that they usually oversell their preorder spots and don't provide much in the way of updates. I used to get weekly emails, "Your order hasn't shipped yet, but rest assured it's in good hands and will ship just as soon as it arrives." I did manage to score a couple preorder knives back in 2012, haven't been back since. This and the fact that they will not sell automatic knives to anyone without LEO/Military credentials. The choice for automatic knife purchases has been made much easier for me with stores that are closer and have no problems selling and shipping to states that have constitutional carry laws in effect.
 
My concern being a poor man starting new job is getting money in time not to miss out on my pre order. Having just spent 180$ on 0770CF and all just wish they would space them apart alittle so everyone who wanted both had shot without being rich lol But thats my problem

Sounds like you need to get a second job, maybe sell plasma on the side.
What would solve the problem is if they just gave them away, you know free. :p
 
I ordered the 0801CF, got on the phone and had my normal 0801 sold in about 10 seconds.

Steel in, steel out. :D
