I just got an e-mail from knife center saying that my order should ship within 5 to 7 business days if not sooner for an 801cf. Just curious as to wheather anyone else has gotten the same message?

I just got the same email... i deleted it before reading it cuz i thought it was just another one of those were still processing your order yada yada yada, but when i read your thread and went back and checked and sure enough it says
currently out of stock but backordered and should ship in 5-7 business days if not sooner or something like that... going to have to give them a call.

Tried calling them their closed, i'll try again in the morning... could be epic!
 
I just didnt expect them so quickly. I think I preordered a few days after I got home from BLADE. Oh well, guess we'll see.
 
I've gotten frequent notification emails from KnifeCenter regarding my ZT 0801CF order which I placed on June 7th. However, today was the first time it said: "Your entire order should ship within 5-7 business days, if not sooner". I don't know if there's any significance to that!
 
Yeah I just got that email...and I think that's the email were all talking about. It's different than the other friendly notification ones. Got to update my cc info. Don't wanna be passed over on this one!

Makes one of you... i thought it took too long, iv'e been on the list since early may, over 6 months
 
I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of people are going to be disappointed in 5-7 business days.

That would be record time for ZT to turn around a LE considering it's only been a few months since BLADE.
 
^definately not counting any chicks before they hatch. Sooner or later, either way is fine.

That's really impressive considering the 0801cf info didn't come out until a few days before BLADE.

You must have some kind of precognition, but then again if you did, you would know that there are other, older LEs that are probably in front of the 0801cf and that ZTs turn around time for LEs has been 12-18 months considering they debut as prototypes.
 
I figured since they're already tooled up with the m390 blades for the 0777 that it would make sense just to start producing the blades for the 801cf
And your right it might have been the end of may.
It was the domino i preordered in early may, i just don't know why out of the blue they would send that email after receiving all the same emails for months.
I guess i'll find out when i call in the morning... no big deal either way, got more than enough knives to keep me busy. :)
 
It would be an awesome pleasant surprise if the 801cf was available in a week or so. I want one really bad
 
Got the same email. I have zero faith in them,I preordered a 0600 right when they came available for pre order and it's never came.
 
I also got an email from them today saying "one or more items on this order currently out of stock. We have placed it on backorder" "Your entire order should ship with in 5-7 business days if not sooner." I have no clue what this means. Does it mean it is on backorder or that I will get the knife. Considering this was the only item I have on order with them I am taking it to mean that I will not get a knife. I am going to call them manana and hope for the best. I really would like to have this knife.
 
I have not received an email from them except the robo email explaining rest assured that is in good hands.I am pretty sure I am near the top of the Pre-order list.I will not hold my breath that I will ever receive the 801CF from this dealer.I will most likely find the knife somewhere else as they have never fulfilled any of my pre-orders over the years.I have had excellent service from them for items that were in stock.They are good folks to deal with, but I won't put my hopes or eggs in one basket for LE pre-order knives or must-haves based on my past experiences.
