Zt 0801cf

So far, it sounds like April 2014 is going to be a great month for ZT releases: 0770CF, 0801CF and 0888MAX! :thumbup::thumbup:
 
Man I wish they would spread these releases out a bit more. Probably only be able to afford one this time around.
 
Im in same boat with pre orders for 0770CF and the 0801CF. I may have to sale a few knives to pull both of them but it would be worth it im a ZT lover

I sure hope you're right about the 0770CF being released in April, RamZar. If that's an official announcement from KAI, I haven't seen it yet. All KAI Corp has said so far is that it will be released "soon". And we all know what that can mean. :(

Get the 0801CF since it's limited edition. You'll have plenty of time later to get a 0770CF since it's regular production.
 
I wouldn't be too laid back about buying an 0770CF. Although it's regular production, it's really not in ZT's sweet spot. So it may not be on a very long leash.

No official announcement from KAI but in reading and hearing about various "indications", here and elsewhere (excluding the Oracle of Delphi), they all point to April. The problem is that there won't be enough in the initial batches to satisfy all who are eagerly waiting for them. At least, it's a start. They could also do another Europe first release which may mean that us in the U.S. won't see the 0770CF until May.
 
Yep. All that is possible. I'm thinking it will be more like Fall before there's enough stock available to satisfy the initial demand on the 0770CF. And that's only if ZT doesn't announce something at Blade that pushes the 0770CF production to the back burner.

ZT cranked out a good 2,000 units of the "Limited Edition" 0770 so I wouldn't be surprised if they doubled that for the 0770CF even if "unsuccessful". Remember they also produced about 1,500 of the 0560CBCF which was supposed to be a Limited Edition.

On "ZT's sweet spot": ZT is still "suffering" through an identity crisis -- how to appease the "hard-use built-like-a/tank" loyal base while expanding the customer base to something other than hefty black knives. The limited editions of the past year (0777, 0777-M390, 0777-M390BLK, 0560CBCF, 0600, 0888) along with smaller and non-black folders like 0770, 0566 and 0801 are certainly a step towards expanding the base. It's a tough juggling act!

I sure hope you're right about that. KAI Corp didn't give me a lot of hope that meaningful numbers of the 0770CF would be showing up in the US anytime soon.
 
Tax return was fatttt! Things are shaping up nicely.

801CF... Then 0454, and 0562CF down the road both hopefully by the end of this year.

Actually, TWO 0562CF's if I can wing it.

That is a "limited edition". Am I missing something here?

I've spoken on this many times, and am unsure we're suffering from an "identity crisis". We're an evolving brand that is just looking to make good all around knives for a variety of users. I believe our current identity has captured that. We're really not trying to be known for 1 specific genre, but when we see a pattern that we feel will be embraced by customers, whether that be existing or not, we'll go for it. If that brings on a identity, well then it will be what it will be. Our goal is to just keep bringing on really solid knives.

There is a lot of exciting projects and changes for the now and the near future with ZT. I feel confident that there will be really a lot of positivity with our future plans.

Yea you know, I don't like giving hard #'s and dates any more. No surprise there. The 077CF will be out very soon. Whether your order will be allocated is beyond my knowledge. There will be a pretty good sized 1st run when it hits the streets.

You guys are really pulling out all the stops. With all the great designs coming out, I can't help but wonder what y'all have up your sleeves.
 
I also have 0562CF on pre order that makes three pre orders and Im hoping to pickup Hinderer new fixed blade design and an Emerson calab. Going to be a get year and I never even spoke of new Kershaws!!!! Will need Rnd job or Ill have to sell some knives lol Im still trying to catch up and get myself a 0600 my dream knife lol
