ZT 0888 at last!

I got mine too, lil too big my for liking.
who has the smallest ser #? the smallest I have seen is #64

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think 0008 sold on the exchange the other day thats the lowest one I have heard of

And I got a 0777m390blk, serial # 134. Doesn't do you much good either. :D

I'm laughing. Never really gave a rats ass about serial #'s, but now that I got some matching/consecutives going with ZT/KAI, I'm up to my armpits in rats' asses.

Probably ought to put together a list of serial #'s I would be in the market for.

I wonder, would it be possible, would there be interest, in creating a thread for the specific purpose of buying/selling/trading of specific ZT/KAI serial #'s?

For example, I have matching serial #'s (just happened by stupid, dumb luck) across a couple of KAI/ZT models. It might be really cool to be able to trade/buy into a few more matching serial #'s in different models...or consecutive #'s in a single model.

It might need to go in the Exchange...any thoughts? Any interest?

I must not have been high enough on the 3 places I was on lists for. Not to mention the more than half a dozen notification lists I'm on. Oh well. :(

I called a few retailers today on the hunt for more 0888 goodness. Came up empty-handed but I was surprised to learn that one retailer (who will remain nameless) told me that they sold theirs for $999 a piece. I get supply and demand, capital markets and all that, but damn that seems high for a retailer. Maybe I'm just naive.

That retailer is always high in more way than one :)

ph - LOL

mr. anderson - I'd rather not say. I'm not here to bash anyone's business.

RJ - Yes, but I guess I did not expect that from a "reputable" B&M retailer.

As cool as it is,i can never spend 1,000.00 on a knife.& given its rarety i would never carry it.And people always always ask is a sebenza worth it ?

Mine is #128. It's a little too big for EDC; my 566 just came in and it's perfect for EDC. Also has anyone tried to sharp their 888 using guided (clamped) sharpening systems such as EP, WE, DMT aligner, etc.? The sloping sides of the blade makes it a little difficult to get the blade stabilized, especially on the EP.
