Zt 0900. What a great little knife.

Got mine today. I must say its amazing. Normally i can find a fault in any knife i buy. So far after looking it over and carrying it my only gripe is i wish they could have hidden the detent hole when the blade is deployed. But honestly if that is the only thing i can find i am happy. The size is perfect for my area. It really kills two birds with one stone. I have always dislikes small knives because they often feel dainty in the hand. This little chubby stubby really is a great edc for those needing less length but still want substance without looking ridiculous. I am also glad to see they have adopted a different bearing with a brass retainer instead of the blue plastic.






 
I got mine yesterday and I have to agree it's an awesome knife!!! I love it because it's like a techno only with a flipper. Great edc blade. Great design too. Gotta love the les George design.
 
Looks really nice, mine will be hear Tuesday. I think zero tolerance has to be the best knife manufacturer in the industry.
 
I want one of these. I bought an 0392 and can't justify both, but the 0900 is calling my name.
 
What I am really glad to see is the return of the hexagonal pivot back. I was actually excited when that disappeared a few years ago but since have discovered how useful it was. The flipping on this thing is superb. And for the first time in a long time I have a knife with absolutely 0 lockbar flex when opening. Many flipper detents grip the blade good but when you apply pressure to the flipper tab the lockbar actually will flex out before the detent releases. This thing? It doesnt budge. Its just crisp. Forgot to mention it is incredibly sharp. Much sharper than other ZT offerings I have bought. None were dull but this thing is insane.
 
Just got mine.
This is a little bull of a knife.
Nice thick blade, flips like lightning and it's built like a brick s**t house.
I like it even better than my 0562CF and that even surprises me!
It has the same size standoff (1) as the 0560 takes.



 
I tried to tell you guys it was an amazing knife.

I let some friends check it out at ECCKS who are big Techno fans and they all felt the 0900 blew it out of the water.
 
This was my first zt purchase and i cant put the thing down. Deff my new fav edc. Love this knife. This picture up above^^^ did you put that blue standoff on yourself? I just looked at mine and just now noticed it was black. Didnt evan realize it was black until now and i got the knife a few days ago. But my standoff is deffinately not blue like yours.

Yup.
It's a 0560 standoff.
 
Ahh 10-4. I started looking at other people pics to see what color theirs were. Was confused for a second.
 
I hope ZT will produce more knives like this one, where the ZT logo is absent on the presentation side of the blade.
 
Any of you guys mind posting an in hand pic of the 0900? I was a little worried the handle would be too short, but I haven't heard of this being a problem so far.

I'd like to know that as well. Can you get all 4 fingers on the grip? I'm thinking this is around the same size as the cold steel mini recon? I like the size of that one a lot, so if this is similar I gotta have it.
 
I picked mine up today. Fun little "big" knife. It's thicker and a little heavier than my Techno and has the added fun of being a flipper. So far I like it a lot.

For me this is a three finger grip only. The 3 fingers get on it nicely but the pinky just is not going to make it. I have pretty big hands and it still feels good. Feedback we have gotten on them has been incredible. Definitely highly recommend one!
