Zt 0900. What a great little knife.

That's been standard on zt models for a couple of years now.

Yes but not incorporated into the lockbar insert like the Spyderco Domino and Dice,
they have been using the Hinderer style lock bar stabilizer,
edit: ZT 0801 uses it, I stand corrected
Thanks

I've been leaning towards bigger-is-better for a few years, now, but this knife is making me rethink that. I've also picked up a couple smaller (shorter) blades lately that are finding their way into my hands more often. Apparently it's time for the small but sturdy knives to make a come-back. I guess it's about time I jumped on the bandwagon, and this one is a beauty.

The 0777, 0550 gen 3, last gen 0560, last gen 0300, 0600, 0888, 0454, 0562, 0620 etc etc etc.

Every lock bar insert ZT uses has the over travel built into it. Makes no difference if there is a Hinderer lock bar stabilizer or not, the insert is the same on every knife.

Once again, I stand corrected.

thanks

Now back to our regular programming,

the ZT 0900 is an awesome knife

I picked one up from a local dealer today. After I fondled it I could not let it go. It fills my small edc niche perfectly. I wish ZT would make a full sized Les George flipper. Like a Rockeye or a Falcon. Mine is serial number 037

I'm hoping for a bolster lock FM-1!!

I am so with you I really wanna see a ZT's version of the Rockeye or Falcon!!!

I am in on this too. Id even take a 25% larger version of this too. Such a great design. I went from being completely knife promiscuous to going steady in one night.

I could not fight it. I bought one today. I am a sucker for a smallish overbuilt knife. The ball bearing setup on the this knife shoots the blade out like a rocket!

I just can't warm up to this design. I'm generally not a fan of short, chunky knives. If the handle has heft, it should have a blade of a good size. Plus, I don't like the aesthetics of the "Zero Tolerance" stamp just being placed right in the middle of the scale like that. This is a pass for me, and that's saying something because there are VERY few ZT knives I wouldn't buy. I have several of them as is.

Be happy that you are not tempted to spend $200 like I was! It's funny though, because all of the stuff you don't like about the 0900, I love!

When ZT announced their new line earlier this year I pre-ordered all of them except for the 0900. I made an impulse buy when I saw them available at a retailer earlier this week and ordered one and wow am I glad that I did. I wasn't impressed with it initially based on the photos but now that I've handled it I love it! I usually prefer larger knives but I also do find a need for a smaller knife sometimes and I'm very happy to have this i my rotation. It's got that smooth and fast flipping action that you expect from a ZT but it really feels like a bigger knife without feeling awkward or clunky. This is no doubt a winner in my book.

Yeah I got to get one of these. I was looking at the Techno but the price turned me off...

The 0900 is cheaper, has a flipper, and a steel lockbar insert. I think we've got a winner. Although it's more aggressive looking than the Techno so that might be a problem depending on your location

Should be my first titanium frame lock :)
