ZT 707 coming 6/16!

Seems like a great EDC to me, but not sure it's better than the Bareknuckle. Are these shipping to dealers?

Man, I feel like they missed an opportunity to put a subframe lock on this. I like that their description highlights that it's lightweight and thin, but it seems like a subframe lock could have made it even lighter. They have the patent for it, so why not use it?

I also wonder how different their adjustable detent is from any of the others on the market like the Hoback Rolling Detent. (Nevermind, see below) And is there a liner under the CF? It would be nice to customize the handle scale if there was.

Overall I like it better than anything ZT has released since the 909 and 0055, but it also just seems like any other 3.5inch framelock to me...

ETA: Just watched the video, it's not an adjustable detent, it's just another detent tab, much like the older double detent Emersons, and the same principal as the detent on the Spyderco Smock. You'd have to disassemble the entire knife to adjust it, since it's a metal tab under the CF. Also that video was weird, why not just show off the knife, or even people using the knife? Not just the knife next to some other things, and then people using those other things?

I'm passing. I was hoping for basically a more pedestrian 0777, or upgraded Natrix XL. This is not it. Looks OK, definitely some 0777 family lines in there but... No sub frame lock?? Holes in the handle again...?

I was waiting on this to see if I was going to jump on one or get a spyderco shaman. Im going to order a shaman now. My CF Bareknuckle (or any of my Bareknuckles) fills the role this knife would.

I do like how they at least put shots of the knife being opened and closed in this marketing video lol. As someone who can barely use the thumb disk on my 0630 due to the death detent, this new tunable system sounds promising

Hmmm, well I don't hate it. I like the overall EDC-able proportions.

That blade though, all belly; and the shape does't quite flow well with the lines of the handle.

The 0707 looks a lot like the Bestech Irada or Wibra. Except those look much better; talk about design flow from blade tip to handle butt. If I were serious about the ZT0707 then I'd take a hard look at the Bestech Wibra or Irada.

I’m definitely gonna try one out as soon as I can. I’ve never been one to care about weight but 2.3oz is pretty awesome!

So the same style of detent that's used on Emerson knives. Here's hoping it works better than the Emerson version....

Can't say I'm interested in this at all. Also, I really wish they'd hire someone else to do their promotional videos; I feel as though there was maybe a few seconds worth of useful content in that Instagram video, and the rest was filler nonsense.

Are you kidding? :D They're probably paying some marketing firm thousands to come up with videos like that! Gotta be relatable to people who use knives... while they walk to a car, shoot at a range, and take photos of sunsets.

Not gonna lie, I like it. Definitely more interesting than anything I've seen from ZT in several years. Looks kinda like the gentlemans version of the recently released 308. The handle holes (which I don't love, but whatever) definitely speak the same design language.

And that 2.8 oz weight on a 3.5" blade is somewhat attractive. Credit where credit is due!

I'm with you. That's about my favorite blade length and it looks like it will carry thin and light. When they pop up at vendors I'll have to get one at some point.

I like it. I think the blade shape would fit my daily tasks. If a need a more substantial blade I take my Inkosi Insingo.

I like it and will order one, since this is not a limited production I guess I will have a chance at getting one.
