Couple pics of the ZT Galyean for those interested in Automatics.

The first articles of these have been shipped. I would imagine there will be variations to this piece, but no additional info on that today.

Cool.

Um, they flyer's a bit hard to read....don't suppose you've got a larger copy, do you?

:)

Here's a chunk of the info from the flyer I posted in the Automatics Forum.

0610st
Blade - 154CM stainless-steel with Tungsten DLC coating, partially serrated. 3 1/2inches (8.9 cm), 0.156 inches thick.

Handle - 3-D machined, 6061-T6 anodized black aircraft aluminum. 5 1/4 inches (13.3 cm).

Lock Push Button with Slider safety

Weight 4.6 oz.

From the brochure:
"Sure, this new ZT Automatic is ready for duty fast - with the push of a button - but safety is a top consideration, too. ZT security technology, like ZT construction, is second to none. The 0610st features the ZT Push Button Auto Lock. It operates with the ease of a push button, but features a secondary slider lock that prevents the button from being accidentally depressed and deployed. Just move the secondary slider forward into a notch under the button and it's completely secure. Once open the blade locks in place and stays that way until the user releases it."

I'm down...now I gotta find a "friendly" out of state dealer.

Hey Pusher Man, you listening???

hehe conections :D man that looks good, really good. I need to move to KY so i can carry this thing when i get it LOL

Matt, in order to buy one from NGK, you have to show active military or police credentials. They are illegal to carry, but not to own in VA. So Mike has to abide by Section 18 rules and regs...we gotta find an out of state source...

Pusher Man made me sad...................

I see you down there, Mike. Come on and give us the skinny!

would it pain you to know what i know?

that depends on if the knowledge leads to ZT autos or ZT autos and a felony arrest warrant

I love the new ZT!

It's a pity it's automatic.

That blocks out MOST of the knife buying market.::crying::

I don't see why they have to be autos! The jury is still out with me whether we really need AOs let alone autos. Why do I say this? well the ZT0200 flicks out with such speed that to an observer it looks like an auto. It's also easy to deploy and you don't need to worry about mechanism maintenance (new springs torsion bars etc).

Can someone give me a good reason why these new 'beauties' -HAVE- to be autos?

Cheers,

Cheers,

Because millions of troops, officers, firefighters and government employees want Autos.
These are intended for a different market, not you.

That's pretty much it. If you have the capacity, why not compete with the likes of Spyderco and Benchmade in that market space?

I do understand market pressure and etc., but making so called "tanto" blade? If you want, better make some real tanto shaped knife, not this Cold Steel "invention". You are after all have Japanese roots...

Thanks, Vassili.
