I really dislike this style of Damascus... I also agree it just does not work with the handle pattern. It should be a plain handle or something

I really like both the handle and the blade patterns, together.. Eh, debatable. If they did the Damascus kind of in line with the handle, like ladder Damascus, it'd look pretty snazzy I bet.

If they went with a more traditional Damascus pattern I may have been tempted. This just looks like a blade etching.
