ZT Limited Edition Coming

If it we're in the 0452 size I'd probably snag one. I don't think it's bad looking, I kinda like it actually.

Just in case people forgot what a real ugly knife looks like:

I'm impressed. It's tough to make a blade look horribly photoshopped by random filters and blur by just grinding it in a shitty looking way. And mentioning the turd handle....that's just too easy.

You're strange enough to like that ZT pattern, so that doesn't say much:D:p You couldn't even gift me that thing!

And boy, that Dwyer custom looks killer! I want grip with those kinda ergonomics on my 1911!

Only wimps complain about hot spots  real tactical operators buy Dwyer's knives and don't care that their hands feel like they are bleeding while opening and mre.;)

I like the concept of this one, but the blade pattern combined with the handle pattern makes my brain hurt...

It's runway carry.

Not a fan of this or the last one. ZT is losing me with these sprints and art knives.

I'm right there with you. For years and years ZT made hard-working knives that brought joy to my blue collar heart. Useful tools out on the job site as well as the the camp site. They were very much at home for folks that use them as tools, and represented a great value in my opinion.

Now they have long, slender stabby looking blades with sharp points on them and things like peek-a-boo bolsters. Well they are certainly making some pretty knives these days, that's not the reason that I was attracted to ZT. Seems to me they are definitely moving into a more artsy, collectible side of the business rather than sticking with hard working "proudly overbuilt" tools.

That's OK. Plenty of new knives from new makers out there. Someone will jump in and fill the gaps.

I laughed hard enough to get light headed from this. This knife absolutely matches his style.

The handle absolutely does not belong with this blade. Something like a LSCF handle and blackwashed lock would compliment the blade well, or even just a light groove scale pattern milled on solid titanium handles would work. This just looks like they made way too many handles for the previous 450 and had to use the leftovers.

What I'd like to see in the 450 is one with a deep hollow or flat grind, not the production setup of okay blade stock with a terribly shallow flat grind so you get a small blade with thinner stock that still cuts poorly. With stock that's a full millimeter thinner, the 450 should slice circles around the 562, but they slice about the same. BTE on both knives is .75mm for the 450 and 1mm for the 562.

Yeah, I sold my 0450. Want the 0452.
This knife is pretty sweet though!
Ah, you sold yours. I still have mine but really don't carry it much. Nice knife, but a little too "fragile" feeling for me. It has a hard time slicing through those thick Cargill beef boxes at work and I envision the carbon fiber snapping at the stop pin. Still like to play with it though.

I love my 0450cf and it's actually in my pocket today for the first time in months, but wow IMO that thing is ugly. Cheers to those who like it and snagged one!

Well, what do you expect? If you post a picture of a knife here, then you're GOING to get opinions on it. No different than you picking out 12 "uglier than Shrek's mother" knives from anyone else's collection. This is not crapping on someone's parade. It's discussing a new knife, whether it's ugly to you or not.

Don’t enjoy watching people piss on someone else’s parade either.
