Zt0392

That what I gather. Rick is providing the hardware (looks to be just standard XM hardware all around, that's how I got the retail pricing). Should make for some interesting options.

No clue. It looks to be a ZT version of the Eklipse and I'm not sure of the specs on it.

Smart move for Hinderer, since it opens up huge aftermarket potential for people to bling out their ZTs with additional Hinderer-made accessories/upgrades.

At least this time it's a knife already compatible with his accessories instead of just saying he's going to make accessories and then never doing it *cough cough 0550/0560 Standoffs and clips and etc etc cough cough*

That is a good looking blade.
I'm guessing (hoping) it's KVT and not assisted?

Anyone get picks of the clip side?

Not assisted. On bearings. Lock side is just like my Eklipse except it has a steel lock insert. I'll take a picture of the Hinderer lock side in a bit.

Looks like this except it has steel lock bar insert and ano blue screws and pocket clip.

And I believe it's only tip up.

That is one good looking knife. Is it just the angle of the pics, or does it have a slimmer blade with less belly than the 566 and 562? Any idea of the weight?

This is awesome. It looks like an amazing knife and because it's a KAI production, there will be plenty of time to plan for it. Count me down for 2 if possible. Amazing!!!

I found some specs of the original custom Eklipse of which very few were produced at $3K+:

  • Overall Length: 8.25 in
  • Blade Length: 3 5/8 in
  • Cutting Edge Length: 3 1/2 in
  • Blade Thickness: .165 in
  • Closed Length: 4.72 in
  • Weight: 5 ounces
  • Blade Material: ?
  • Handle Material: Titanium

The weight is relatively low because the insides of the Eklipse were skeletonized.

The blade grind on the ZT 0392 looks much simpler and thus less expensive.

I hope by 'limited production', it not another 0888 type of limited release. The secondary market prices on those knives is insane.. :(

Very nice. Fingers crossed that it makes it into full production.

Nice looking knife. But if its limited and sells out within an hour, not interested

This is very nice and I prefer this blade grind over the Tanto on the Eklipse! I just can't get into tanto blades for some reason! I like the look but do not find them practical. I am on board when this blade comes out for sure!
