Zt0392

All the blue accents in the picture: clip, standoffs, etc. plus LBS and pivot screw are Hinderer. You can order different colors like bronze direct from Hinderer to replace the blue ones.
The blue looks fantastic!!! Good golly miss molly PLEASE take my money Thomas Welk !!! :D

Love it! Called one of my dealers as soon as I saw it, and I'm #2 on their list! Specified a non-tanto for mine though...

They said there were going to be variations (unspecified) so I wanted to try to firm up my choice...

So we seem to have conflicting information from various posts, anyone have confirmation on which area the 0392 is going to fall?

1) normal full production model
2) full production but smaller runs of various options (spacer color, blade style etc) but still generally available
3) very limited numbers (0777, 0888, etc), perhaps multiple runs of very limited numbers of various options (color/blade)

IT will not be a regular production knife.

It will be released in a few different flavors, but will not be available in unlimited numbers, it will be limited.

You might see a few runs with different color fasteners, and also different blade configurations based on what I have heard the folks from Kai say.

To get to the point, they will be limited editions more than regular production.

More than regular production? Meaning there'll be quite a few of these made?

Ah well wishful thinking then. If I miss the chance to get one I'm gonna have a bad time.

Assuming they do several variations, there should be multiple chances; the price should decrease and the availabilty should increase on the secondary market with each subsequent release. If you're in it for the long haul to get one, it won't be a problem.... eventually.

Ah well wishful thinking then. If I miss the chance to get one I'm gonna have a bad time.

The fact that these will be made, according to the folks at Kai, in different variations means that there would likely be more total units available, so keep your eyes open, keep your debit card at the ready, and be prepared to leap when you see the opportunity for the one that you want.

I want one, I am thinking bronze hardware more for mine.

Know that the idea here is to make Rick's stuff more available to the masses, you don't have to win a lottery at a show to get one, but you will have to be on your toes.

It just takes a wad of cash and some internet abilities .

For instance, I passed on the ZT0888 original version - long story but I did not want to outlay the cash at that time (dumb move in retrospect, but we do what we know at the time...).

I was able to use google fu, and gather tidbits of information to find not only a MAX but also a M390 version. Yes, luck played into the equation, but sometimes you make your own luck, or at least influence the luck your way by your own actions.

For me, and many people like me, the chase is part of the fun, part of the excitement.

I never did get a ZT0777 original version, but such is life. There is no trophy for 4th place in real life, you have to harden up and grab the ring when it comes around. If you miss it, harden up and prepare to be better the next time a ring comes around.

Good luck to all! I know ZT wants everyone to get what they want, I know this first hand.

ZT model isnt a tanto thats the Hinderer,at least for now

Hopefully it stays that way. I dont care for the tanto look.

I kinda like it. It hasn't grown on me yet. Even holding it at blade, I think it is the fact that there is so much stonewash Ti, no scale color that is not making it on the top of my want list.

Now that's a good looking blade. 0392>0888 all day

My understanding is the 0392 will be a series with several limited variations on the basic eklipses theme.

Para 2 doesn't change blade shapes or hardware but I guess similar.

You are quite right, I was simply searching for an analogous concept. Considering the amount of people who collect Sprint Para2s this could be quite the money maker for ZT.

Though, from BladeHQs video I was under te impression that ZT would do the drop point and Hinderer the Tanto.
