ZT0909 Not much talk!

Had mine for a few days and I'm really liking it. It feels like a zt of old.
Good in hand, classic blade shape, rocket flipper, what's not to like!

My next step in knives came a few years back when I noticed a giant knife in a co-workers pocket. I believe it was either a ZT 0200 or 0300, I only handled it the once, but it pushed me over the edge. The closest I could manage at the time was Kershaw JYDII with CPM-D2 edge. To this day it is hands down the best knife I own but after using it I could never make the leap to ZT due to the recurves. I'm excited to finally have a ZT to pursue. The 0909 checks all my boxes and I hope will be the upgrade over my JYD that I've been looking for. Now to find a local ZT dealer so I can fondle one and open a savings account. Anyone know a spot in Austin, TX?

I love the design but I kinda wish they had skeletonized the liners, maybe it would've off the balance so that's why they didn't.

I know this is largely a personal thing but I still prfer 0200. The recurve, the dlc coating, and the crocodile g10 handle are all win me. Plus ir is much cheaper (yes I know the steel is not as good).

I liked the 200 as well but prefer the 909s blade shape. Having the thumb studs on the 200 was good if you didn't want to flip it open. The 909 flips so aggressively i sometimes wish there was a way to open it a little more calmly.

I'm just the opposite. I love mine, but if it were assisted, I would never have even considered it. This thing FIRES open, for a manual flipper!

Shall it have been n AO, I think it will have replaced my ZT0350

I like the 0909, but do not see it as a replacement for the 200. I think they are very different. I've used the 909 heavily as of late. And like it very much. Good edge retention, sturdy. I use it for cutting seat fabric, which is vinyl with a cloth backing. It can dull knives rather quickly. But the 909 holds up well. I'll keep both the 909 and the 200. That is a couple I'll never sell. I probably lean a little toward the 909.

I've been meaning to pick one of these up. As always, another knife pops up at the perfect time haha.

I have heard nothing but positive things about this piece. I really love Les George designs so it's all good.

I love mine. The detent was crazy stiff out of the box, but has broken in nicely. I think that the action is pretty much perfect now. Also, the detent is strong enough that I feel safe carrying it in my right rear pocket (tip-up carry in the RRP, something that I have not done since a mis-hap with a Kershaw Wild Wild Turkey a few years back). That leaves room for my recently acquired 0392BLKGRN user in my right front pocket, so I have been carrying that combo for several days now (plus a SAK in the left front pocket).

I picked one up on the exchange a little while ago, not something I'd been looking for but was curious.
I really like the knife, it snaps open, locks up tight, sharpens up and cuts really well.
I prefer the grip with G10 on both sides, the liner lock is pretty heavy and engages the full width
so I dont expect it's going anywhere.
It's definitely earned an edc slot.
