0780 .... It came!

No, I have never had any issues with ZTs liner locks.

Thanks. I've never owned a ZT. I have owned a few Kershaws that had liner movement. My Kershaw Storms and most recently the new Knockout. A lot of cutting pressure and the lock moves all the way over to the right and gets jammed so that it takes a lot of force to release it. I'm guessing it has to do with tolerances, maybe slightly oversized frame screw holes.

ZTs, s far as all the liner lock ones I know of, have thick liners. The liners are as thick as some stock on blades. The liner on the 0200 is about as thick as the RAT1 blade! So, that should give you an idea of how tough and strong they are. To me, they materialize old-fashioned American toughness in tools.

europeanoutdoorsman, thx for a video review.
The blade really looks like it was sharpened on a grinder 1000 times.
At least I know what to expect. One of my knives had the same blade shape - HD Mini Hardtail.
I still hope ZT will release some day small utility knife, not a lightweight weapon.

ZT makes tactical blades my friend. I think they will continue to do so since that is their business since the start. I suggest a Kershaw Skyline if you need a good little utility knife. I actually hand honed the blade to 5 micron (I think, cause I forget the actual rating) and so it has a near mirror polish on the edge.

Well 0350 is also a tactical knife. But has a shape of a sturdy army EDC/utility one.
IF ZT would release a knife on a basis of Skyline (with no recurve and with a belly) it will be a hit.

The 550 is a good utility knife. No recurve. Little bit of belly.

Now the 0780's are discontinued. I'll get a final production total. There wasn't many.

I wasn't expecting this at all, are you saying the ZT 0780s produced so far were for pre-orders through dealers?
And that it is *very* unlikely there will be some left in inventories of ZT or dealers?

Wow, just swiped my Credit Card on a website after hearing this. :D

I think they might have a few more...

I just put mine away in its box. Wont be using it now. Might have to grab a 0700 while I'm at it.
