117 CLUB Permanent thread keep adding

I was wondering who would claim the coveted seventeenth membership to this exclusive club.
I want the 117th spot; but I think I've got a bit of a wait. That's okay - I'm still waiting for the right 117. I don't know if it exists; but I'd love to find one with a bone handle...and no fuller.

It's odd yes.
But it doesn't get in the way so much.
I find myself carrying in the field that way.

i went to C&C to buy one because you enablers post some nice pics. its sold out. everywhere is sold out. the brazilian river place has them for $150! yikes

I know, I’m thinking it will return, but who really knows? No way I’d pay gouger prices for something that could return anytime.

Turns out this is an exclusive club, just due to lack of supply.

Bet $150 on the Lions to win.:confused::eek::(:poop:
The payoff would be great enough you could buy 117s for everyone you know.:D

(......yeah, like that's gonna happen)

I'm hoping when SK Blades comes back they do a run of 117's similar to what they did with the 212.
......D2 steel with micarta handle. Nice knife.
I carry either of these 2 probably more than any fixed blade I have.
I like the handle size. And not too big overall to get in the way while carrying.

I always liked the size of the 118 and it was my favorite fixed blade. I gave it away awhile ago, and the 117 sorta took it's place.
I just recently got another 118, but have yet to carry it.
It's still the 117/212........ for now guess:p.
I do prefer the blade shape of that 117 tho. It's got the iconic shape of the 119, but in a size that begs to be carried.

I know he's been busy of late, but Mak makes a sweet slip sheath for that 212 if you'd rather....

I'd like to see these 2 knives become part of Buck's fixed blade collection.

I'll probably never strap the 212 on...it will be a battle between the draw of W2 and the Limited Edition emblazoned on the blade.

That would be a shame to not use it. I’ve found the 212’s need a wide choil added because of the sweeping grind, and thumb grooves on the spine are nice. Once done it’s a great edc blade.

Honestly, it wouldn't be the Limited Edition etch that keeps me from carrying/using it...that will be decided by my initial reaction to the knife, based on looks and feel. I'm expecting the red lucite to be a deterrent (...that's why I bought the SK version in burgandy micarta, too - that will take the bright red factor out of the equation, and give the knife a chance to win on its own merits).
Enough about 212s, though - this thread is about 117s, and my search continues.
