119 users?

Cool thanks. Those are the ones I've been looking at online. Them are pretty.

Well the rose 119 was order from Bass pro today. Now I just have to wait for it.

Goose. Those rosewood Brass pro knives you bought. Did they come with the brown or black sheath? I just got my 119 through the mail and it has a black sheath?

Both the 105BP and 119BP came with black sheaths.
I prefer the black as it is less obvious when I wear a tux.

Really? Humm here I am raising caine with them because the picture I seen had a brown sheath. Humm , don't i feel like the fool now. A tux and a 119. Man it reall does seem like a bigger knife now that it is in my hand.

Well if it suppose to come with the black sheath I may just keep it. I didnt want the hassle of sending it back and reordering it when I just order the other two in the set, The 102 and 105 this am. Now I will have to wait and see. I do think if i keep it it will just be a looker. It is a little big .

Looking at this knife the pomel also has some grind marks in it instead of polished like the rest of it. I may have to take some pictures. Or could i now be being to picky?

couldn't get a good picture of the pommel. Looks like either a rough grind or someone dropped it. I wouldn't care if this was going to be a user.

Order a "brown" 119 sheath (I think it is more of a maroon color IMHO):

119 too big? Get the 105 :)

Don't think you can order a "brown" 105 sheath. I do have a 105LL Stacked that came with a true-brown sheath stamped "L.L. Bean" IIRC.

ok I'm done complaining. I took some 1500 grit paper to the pommel and some semichrome polish. As good as new. I do have the 105 and 102 coming from Bass Pro. Thats the reason I was checking on the sheaths. I didnt want a 119 with a black sheath and the 105 and 102 with brown. I did see that 105 from LL bean. Pretty nice looking knife. That might be one down the road maybe even for a user. That leather handle one is it a slick polished leather?

OK...I'm not always a nice guy...I think the 105LL is a POS. The stamping of the blade is not disclosed and is cheesey. The pommel material is NOT true stacked leather. No one in my tuxedo wearing circle of Brothers would own anything with a "LL Bean" logo...we're just low class dirt.
That 105LL, along with the 437 I have, are the top two on my VERY short list of "what was I thinking?" Buck knives.

As for the 102. If you ordered a 102BR, it will come with a brown sheath. Bummer. But ya know I ain't gonna pee on ya and tell ya it's raining...

B-Man...it's a 437T. "Revolution" IIRC.

I do have to admit that it makes a dandy bottle opener. Ya know, I just might throw it in the kitchen drawer just for that and as a utility player :)

It's not real leather handle?? I was told by them it was.Now the 102 is rosewood and coming fro bass pro??Will it be in a differant color sheath. I hate to say it but I have some ll bean buffalo leather boots that I love. But then again my hunting buddies are my kids so they wont say anything.

Oh, if it is a 102BP and not the "BR", your sheath will be black.

OK, I need to calm down before I get another post penalty

I am guessing LL Bean is good for you outdoorsmen/hunters. I just don't like the logo on the blade.

goose
thanks for the pic and straightening me out on those numbers :o
i had seen those before but they dont really interest me but when you mention bottle opener lol
i had suggested a nice solid brass letter opener for the bcci and a brass bottle opener sounds like a good companion piece

goose back to the bean 105, the handles are they not really leather??
