Moose, I would like to remove myself from consideration and instead like to put forth a nomination for either Gingi's son in OCS or Dresnor and his girlfriend's little brother.

I was going to suggest that you be removed, but you beat me to it. Nice gesture by the way. Now get off my lawn with that taco.

I think we should keep it simple for moose and just post what he wanted, and if he picks you and you want to donate it to someone, THEN tell him. Otherwise this thread will get confusing quick, even if the gestures are noble.

Hey Moose. That's a very generous offering you're making. You are a gentleman and it's not true what everyone else says about you while you're not here.
Now I know that there are plenty people here who deserve a Ka-Bar a lot more than I do, but here's my pitch. Living over here in England, sharps aren't quite as easy to come by as they are over there, especially American knives like Ka-Bar and when they are available, they're very expensive (about $100 for a standard Ka-Bar). Consequently, the only Ka-Bar I've got is an out of production Dozier fixed blade design that I managed to pick up on a forum.
Moras and Woodlores are the most common bushcraft tools and Ka-Bars tend to get looked down on for being a bit too military, but I really like them. Plus, they're a classic knife!
Oh yeah, I also passed my Commissioning Board earlier this month and deserve a present because I'm going to be an officer; and have a lot more work to do!

I'd have to go for the Kukri. I've been wanting one of those HI kukri for a couple months now, but my pockets just won't allow for it right now. I'm sure a Kabar Kukri would work just as good. As of right now, I don't really have any "choppers" to take to the woods with me. I've got a Wally World machete that couldn't cut a 1/2" stick, but I've been trying to make due with it till I can afford to purchase a nice chopper. What makes it worse is I'm currently out of work, but hopefully within the next couple days I'll be getting this job I've been trying for the last two months. They're sending me a few hours away for 3 days of training away from my son and wife. Not looking forward to being away from them, but you gotta do what you gotta do for your family.

Thanks, Moose. Very considerate of you to be giving away great blades like this.

Hey Moose, I think that Heavy Bowie, Warthog or cutlass machete would look reeeeeally sweet if my girlfriend was wearing one on her hip....and nothing else. I'll send pictures. She's hot.

Also, she's been playing with my Becker alot lately...BK7, and I would love to give her her own chopper to mess around with when we go to the woods. Also, I'll send you a batch of her famous baked goods, just tell me what you like. And I'll be your best friend and let you ride my bike, and borrow it every second weekend.

Grass Machete for me! Or Cutlass, or really anything big, sharp and FREE!!!!

On a serious note, I am going to be camping in bear country this summer and if I don't have a Machete to defend myself I might get eaten. You don't want that on your conscience do you? Just imagine, a clear conscience in exchange for a piece of sharp steel, what a bargain!

Dear Moosey :D, I would really appreciate a Kukri Machete. Why? You might ask? Well because my meager knife collection only consists of small tiny blades like the BK2 and when it gets here the 10, and with no firearms to my name. I fear with the coming zombie apocalypse I will have to *attempt* fight off the undead hordes with crude barely pointy caveman-like sticks and shovels and such. How sad for a Beckerhead and a knifeknut. A Kukri Machete could literally save my life Moose, karma like that does the body right, not to mention that all the undead I will be de-animating can only certainly be a good thing for everyone ;)

P.S. I also lost my wallet and excess knife buying money, bank card, ID, SS card(stupid to have it on me I know), paypal card, and to top it all off my fishing lisence somewhere within a 5 block stretch. I went back to look for it and it was gone:( so a new blade would brighten my day pretty significantly.

Thanks for the giveaway Moose, good stuff!!!

Andy
