2007 Forum Knife Pattern Vote

[ Meanwhile, back at the 2007 BFC Knife ranch... ]

Anybody else up for settling on pattern (at least) for the 2007 knife?..

It's pretty clear the majority is for the 3 blade stockman w/punch, correct? I have no problem with this, I just want to get it settled, as what we get here will affect other knife purchases, if you know what I mean...

WOOT, WOOT, Yea Baby...... even in purple is good..

How's about this, I'll give Joe Hufnagel a call tomorrow to see if he's come up with any other ideas as to pattern design, he's had my email for a week now, and then we'll start the vote between our top four picks on Wednesday.(That'll give us a day to check out anything he's come up with.) The top four according to our survey are : 3 blade stockman, stockman with punch, split back whittler, and canittler. I'll see if I can get a hold of Bastid to put up a sticky for the vote (I have no idea how to do that). If Joe comes up with something , I'll add it to the vote. We can run the vote for a week or two, and then once we come up with a pattern we'll run another vote on scale material, etch, etc.
Sound good to you folks?

Eric

I will keep an eye out and stick the vote thread.

Found this Reese Bose while browsing around knife sites. It seems he made some of these for the Lake Michigan Region Knife Club. I figure if we all start saving our pennies (and dollars) now, we will have a perfect candidate for the 2008 BFC knife. If the guys at LMRKC can talk Reese into making their club knife, us guys here at BFC should be able to do the same. After all, we deserve nothing less. :D

I will talk to Reese at Blade and see if he can work it into his schedule.

We are going to need a few folks to step up on this custom project so I can ballpark the number of knives.

Mate, I would LOVE a Bose knife! Consider me seriously interested, but I need an idea of costs so I can say definitely in or out.

I would guess we are looking at 6 to 8 hundred to make it worth his while for a back-pocket model in micarta.

Keep in mind I am not even sure he has time for this project, but it will not hurt to ask him.

If we do swing this, it would be in addition to the annual factory B.F.C. knife.

Holy Jumping Grasshoppers! For $800 I can get me a spankin' brand new out of the mama Lhasa Apso puppy, which can also serve as a window licker and often does. $800????? :(

I guess I better start working my old street corner again. I thought I was retired from the service, but not if'n I want one of those knives. Sheesh....
