2007 Forum Knife Pattern Vote

I vote for either a stockman or trapper. Would like to see a punch on it too as I'd like to try to learn how to do some lanyards and I've heard the punch can be useful for dressing the knots. Don't know enough about scales or steel to make an intelligent choice there though.

Are the punches ok for the UK?

From what few pictures of a Canittler I can find they don't appeal to me.

Just checking in to see as well. When a decision is made, could we maybe get a sticky at the top of the forum with the relevant info?

I don't know if I can be included in this or if I need to have a certain amount of posts or anything. If I can be apart of this, I would like to go for a whittler or a canoe.

Let me speak on behalf of Eric..... :D ;)

You need 3,824 posts before you can get in on the knife. That is why I am posting so often here. I have to catch up.

And I already negotiated, privately, the purple Buck 112. :D

I have enough posts. Let me know when the purple Buck 112s go on sale.

Before I fully commit though...

Are these genuine naugahyde scales? If so, I may have to decline. I'm a member of the "Millenium Save the Nauga" Campaign.

Naugas are nearly extinct. As much as I'd like purple naugahyde slabs, it's too much sacrifice for the species.

I hope all the smiles mean that you are joking. I don't think I could get that many posts in the next 5 years. :)

Guyon,

I can't lie to you. They are genuine naugahyde slabs. But it's okay. My family has a Nauga farm and as kids, we all had to work the farm. Remember how popular naugahyde sofas used to be? My family has become quite wealthy as a result of our efforts to raise the best Naugas and to also make sure that Naugas did not become an endangered species.

I will see what I can do to find out the schedule on those purple Buck 112's. I am just so glad that I was able to convince Eric that it was the best knife for 2007. :D

Yeah, Bung, I was just messing with ya. :D I haven't gotten that many posts in 7 years! If you ante up with the $$$$$, I think you can get in on the knife.

But you need to watch this thread to find out when they are gonna start taking orders. Or maybe Eric will start a new thread. Don't really know!

Judy,

Thank you. I was hoping you were just playing. I'll try to get on with one of these as I have never done anything like this. Thanks.

Is this the knife we're getting?

Those poor little Naugas...

Those poor little Naugas...

The Naugas are just fine with this. They are brought up knowing that they will have the honor of bringing joy to many people's lives. They are actually joyful when it comes time to join their ancestors in this wonderful tradition.

Arksknives is the maker of this beautiful purple Buck 112. I think everyone will enjoy owning it and it will probably become an EDC!
