2009 BladeForums Traditional Forum Knife updates

Just got off the phone with Queen's GM.

They are putting the knives together as we speak.

We got a bonus....the clip blade has a Queen tang stamp, and the wharncliffe blade has a Schatt & Morgan tang stamp.

The cutter for the long pull on the wharncliffe blade was damaged in production, so a new one was overnighted and is on the production line as this is written. The stag scales are being fit under the direct supervision of the GM.

The plan is for Queen to finish by Friday and have the knives to Gus by next Wednesday....obviously with his blown out ankle, shipping will be as soon as he can get to it....figure sometime in January....hopefully earlier rather than later.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

That sounds ... excellent.

As to shipping, Gus should take his time. We can wait.

I'll get with Gus and see if there's anything I can do to assist in getting the knives out. This would include making a special trip to the worst place in Joe_Ja. . . . .the city of Bastidville. :p

Besides. . . .I need to get a pic of the Bastid hobbling around on crutches. :D

It's going around.

I'm using a cane ... until this damaged back improves.:o

BTAIM -- hoping Gus feels better soon.

youch...best of luck on your recovery....as I've offered in the past I am self employed and can take time to help deliver , run'em to the post office whatever help you need...just Pm for any help you need

Rich

Take care Gus! Whenever the process get the knives out, it will be fine. Please do not violate DRs orders or whatever is safe just get mine out. We appreciate your efforts!

Geez!!! How painful was that?!?! Here's wishing you a speedy recovery Gus, the knives are secondary IMO. If you need a hand, drop me a PM anytime.

Queen is finished, they are shipping to Gus today, knives are expected to be at his location by Wednesday.

Gus has some logistics to work out, but SOMEONE will let us know when they arrive, and when they are shipping out.

Here is a quick scan from Queen's Production Manager:

My end is done....thank you for the support, and I sincerely hope that you all enjoy the knives....Happy Holidays!

Well, as every one else has said, best wishes on the surgery & recoverying. I'm still in the process of recovery from my back, so I certainly feel for you.

Obviously, shipping the knives should be a 2nd thought, certainly not an issue right now.

I'm not a Dr, but I believe handling those new knives & ogling at them might speed up the recovery process...well, it'll at least make you feel better.

Take care & I am sure jazzed that the knives are a coming.

May the holidays be a blessing to STeven and Gus, for all the work they have done. I want to also thank the donor of the stag. I am sure the knife will be one we all will treasure.

Thanks to all 3 of you guys. You've accomplished something for us as a group that we could not have had as individuals.

If any member wants to do a project like this it will cost between $8,000-$10,000.....so it COULD be had, but the fee is stiff.;)
