2009 BladeForums Traditional Forum Knife updates

I have avoided bumping this thread thus creating false hopes that STeven had said they are on the way, but when I saw his name in my email update on thread replies I voided.:o

STeven thanks for the update, I am all ears, wet but listening.:p

Best Regards,
JIm

I am bumping this thread for the only reason to let all know that I am abreast of the situation. I have stayed current with the thread. I am aware that they have not shipped yet.:D

Merry Christmas to all who are gittin a BF knife! ;)

Merry Christmas to all who are gittin a BF knife! ;)

We will have more news very soon, but the bottom line is that it is not happening in time for Christmas for a variety of reasons....will be shortly after.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Steven, whenever it gets here is fine. Thank you again for keeping us up to date, and seeing this though.

Just got off the phone with Queen's GM.

They are putting the knives together as we speak.

We got a bonus....the clip blade has a Queen tang stamp, and the wharncliffe blade has a Schatt & Morgan tang stamp.

The cutter for the long pull on the wharncliffe blade was damaged in production, so a new one was overnighted and is on the production line as this is written. The stag scales are being fit under the direct supervision of the GM.

The plan is for Queen to finish by Friday and have the knives to Gus by next Wednesday....obviously with his blown out ankle, shipping will be as soon as he can get to it....figure sometime in January....hopefully earlier rather than later.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Awesome news! The Queen/Schatt & Morgan stamps combination will make this knife even more unique.

Many thanks to you and Gus for all the work you've done to bring this about, and Gus, I hope you're back in service soon.

I'll get with Gus and see if there's anything I can do to assist in getting the knives out. This would include making a special trip to the worst place in Joe_Ja. . . . .the city of Bastidville. :p

Besides. . . .I need to get a pic of the Bastid hobbling around on crutches. :D

Awesome! Wish I had bought 2, but oh well, couldn't swing so that's the way it is.

I live on the W. coast so wouldn't be of much assistance, but would have gladly done so.

Thanks again for all the great work & what's looking to be maybe the neatest of the BFC knives yet.

Awesome news! This will be a great knife! Waiting is not a problem at all!

I go in for surgery on Monday and will be down all week (according to doc).

Will start shipping asap and will get with a few non-conus folks for payments towards the end of next week.

Sounds great.
Gus, take your dang time to ship them. Your well being is first. Good luck on the surgery.
I personally don't want my knives shipped during the USPS holiday rush and have them end up in North Dakota by accident. :D

Thanks for the most recent update STeven.. Much obliged for all the close attention and supervision you're lending to this years project. I feel certain that this years Traditional Forum slipjoint knife will be the finest thus far because of the Gus & STeven & The Silent STAG Donor team effort that has gone into this wonderful Barlow pattern!. And I believe there is no question that we are going to end up with a 1 of a kind Queen/S&M pocket knife that will be one of the finest I'll ever own and use with great pride. :)

Gus, please take good care of your ankle and I pray it heals well.

Many Blessings,
Anthony
