2010 Kershaw "Rake" by Tim Galyean

Kershaw has ruined a lot of otherwise great knives with ridiculous looking clips. I hope they don't do the same to this one.

YOWZA! I sure hope they don't use a custom one-way only clip.
Personally, I NEED the tip up, tip down option.
I have been smitten by the JYD II (composite), but, I utterly despise the fact it's tip down ONLY.:grumpy:

When is this one coming out? Need to start a new savings fund for it because it's a must-buy for me.:D
Even if it only comes tip down with a whack-job, mondo-mega size clip.:o

Looks promising :)

Pretty similar to G10 Tyrade though, will there be lefty carry option?

this is a winner for me, wish they had an IKBS Option since I can't carry AOs...

Looks like this may be the knife to carry when I can't decide between my Lahar and my JYD 2!:D

Great job, Kershaw and Tim G.!

Yes, let me echo what 3Guardsmen writes above:
This looks to be another great job by Kershaw and Tim Galyean.
Regardless of my whining in post #28, I really love the looks of this knife and will get one when the opportunity presents itself.:thumbup::thumbup:
I've revisited this thread three times since my original post and that folder beckons to me every time I see it again.

Man there are some nice knives coming out this year. So far Speedform 2 is my favorite by far, though I'll need a few more. I was hoping to cut back but Thomas W. and Kershaw sure make that unlikely.

Buy it, open the knife and remove A/O spring, put it back together and you have manual knife :). Sure its slower than regular flippers or similars then but then legal you to carry :)

The Lahar without a re-curve!
CPM D-2 seals the deal. I really like it.

Any info on blade length?

Wow. Speedsafe, a flipper and a thumbstud....good grief.
Does it really need so much gimmickery?

That is a beautiful knife though hopefully with a 3.75" or bigger blade.

Yeah, no one uses assisted opening. Much less flippers or thumbstuds.

I think having a choice of openings is a good thing.

Remove the A/O spring and you have knife that has no detent, meaning that blade will just flop around. A knife with no detent can be classified as a gravity knife which is illegal to carry.

The "Rake" has a pretty serious belly on it, would probably make for a good little skinning knife. I like the use of CPM-D2, wish we could see more of that.
