2010 Kershaw "Rake" by Tim Galyean

I thought the same thing, but, it is your eye playing tricks on you. If you look closer you will see the it is the thumbstud... it's just they way it was photographed.

Soon as I get mine it'll be a hole.

Silly thumbstuds get in the way when sharpening and cutting...

As soon as these begin to get out a little I'd love for someone to make a handle comparison between the Rake and the JYDII. It looks similar but don't know how it compares as far as length.

I've had mine for a couple weeks and everyone I've showed it to has been pretty impressed with the feel & action.
very comfortable handle.
cuts nice, too.
sorry, I don't have a JYDII for comparison pic.

All these people with a Rake in hand and no pictures anywhere...Hummhhh :(

OK I tried and the forum will not let me post attachments, I can't even copy and paste. So if ya wan't me to post a pic PLEASE give me some guidance. Step by Step hopefully.;)

Go to tinypic.com and hit the upload button. That will prompt you to browse your folders, hit upload, then hit the resize tab (drop down menu) and change to message board (640x400 if I remember correctly). It was ask you to verify then will upload your pic. Go to the

thanks - I was happy with the win, as this is my first Kershaw folder and I'm pretty impressed with the knife. The clip is a 3-way, not 4, but still works good for left handed tip up, so I'm fine with that.
I'm also giving it plenty of exposure and positive word of mouth on my end.

I'm trying the tinypic suggestion.

OK Here Goes --- and it worked -----Thanks JD

Nice pictures guys!!!! Thanks.

I know this has been asked but a Rake and JYDII in a side by side would be very sweet.

Well I just paid for a Rake so in a few days I'll try to do that side by side picture comparo.

The Rake came yesterday. I've been on a Kershaw/ZT roll for the last two months.
This knife does not impress like the others I've accumulated. I'm NOT suggesting this is not a good knife, I am disappointed with the thinner liners and lathargic speed safe. I guess I thought it would be as sturdy as a JYD II. However, I do like the understated clip and blade profile. The feel of the swept handle profile is different but certainly not a negative. I'll spend some time with it and make further comments.

I'm watching football at the moment and have other obligations later today but i will do pictures of the Rake next to my JYD II as soon as I can.
