If I have not provided all of your requested information, please e-mail me.

I do not want to miss these great knives because of my computer illiteracy.

Thank you for all of your hard work.

Mike H.

I am desperately seeking a BF 2009 knife.

Awesome work Gene! Now that is purdy! To think this was my 3rd choice for the 2011 knife! I am gonna covet this one.

Just looking at the great drawing again, and I thought, "How hard would it be to sharpen the bottom edge of the driver/cap lifter into a modified coping blade?

Do I have something here? Could be a three for one, know what I mean?

Wouldn't hurt to try, but I'd be worried that using it as screw driver would be compromise by the thinner blade, and if it was used as a screw driver, it would damage the tip of the ground blade

Goal is to hit 150. There is a bout a week and a half left. I'm sure there are some laggers who are waiting to get their orders in. I'm pretty confident that we will hit it.

It might work if you just sharpened the part closest to the tip. If you did the whole thing, using it as a bottle opener would push the edge into the top of the bottle cap. You would also have to be careful not to slip out of the screw head and cut your other hand when using it as a screwdriver.

Danny, I think you're right. It would only take a sixteenth off the driver, so hardly a problem there, but better if you started the bevel half-way up the edge from the lifter cutout so it wouldn't pierce the cap. I would only be using the last 1/4-3/8" of the edge anyway.

Gene, that is an awesome bin of artwork. Is there any possibility of getting a copy, either as a poster or an e-file for printing poster sized? I'd expect a fee to be payable if so.

how many people that are buying just one knife are going to use it on a regular basis? I normally wouldn't carry such a special knife, but reading you all 's posts here makes me want to carry the dang thing! Still thinking and saving for maybe another one. =)

The way I look at it is, the more special a knife is, the more I want to carry it.
If you never plan to sell the thing, who cares what happens to the value of it?

I'm gonna carry and use mine, a lot!

I plan on using mine too. Using a knife is how I get the most enjoyment from it. Having the cap lifter/screwdriver also makes it useful for more than just cutting things. Not that I'm trying to talk you out of buying a second one if it makes you more comfortable. The more orders we have, the better off we are.

Yup! What Danny said.....

I am only getting one, and I will be carrying it. Right now, 2009 is in my pocket, as it has been there for the last 3 weeks or so.

The bank teller asked me what a Forum knife is, (what was written on the money orders), and I showed her the 2009. She smiled and said that her grandpa carried something similar, just not so bumpy on the handle. I said, "I bet this knife reminded you of good memories of your grandpa, I can tell by your smile." She said it did. I said, "Me too.... but of my grandpa, not yours...." I am pretty dorky that way....

This is absolutely right!

Robert, I have one if you want a look. I'm in Brisbane fairly regularly. Drop me an e-mail if you like as I don't have PM facility here. :)

Thanks but I'll wait ;), I think thats the best bit really...the wait and anticipation of whats to come, I know my marriage to my wife will be stronger having gone through this, not the knives haha but the whole immigration ordeal! and I know my patience waiting to see my special knives like the 2010 in the US will make it easier for me to wait on a custom makers list (short listed to either ken erikson or rick menefee, cant decide! :D).

I have 4 BF knives, and regularly use them in my rotation. I plan on doing the same with the 2011 knife!

I'll certainly carry one of mine in a pouch on my belt, ad use it a lot :)

Another is for a friend who will likely carry occasionally, and the 3rd is for the collection, or to sell next year.

Why not wait and make a poster with the real thing!!!
