Hey guys and gals,
Orders are pouring in heavy into my paypal. I will be filling in all the addresses and info into our spread sheet this weekend, to get caught up. If you are going to send a money order I will post once I have recieved it. There is no need to put paypal fees on a money order LOL, nor paypal fees in the paypal since we account for that. I will send GEC money for the down via paypal, and then the balance once we have finalized the ordering process paypal, and then the rest of the money over to Andy since he is gonna ship them. I am in for one of course and need to put my 100 into this acct that I am using in addition to the paypal. Like always, the forum knife is an awesome thing to be a part of. The people of this sub forum are unique in thier kindness, quality of character, and generosity. I am honored to play a small part in it. I wish we had a picture of the knife, but since it is being created specifically for us (I just think this is the bee's knees myself) from GEC, getting a pic of knife not created yet is just not possible, and may not til after the ordering. I hope someone proves me wrong.

I will tell my italian forumites of it, hope we can order at least 5-6 pieces, they seem to have liked GEC
I'll buy 2 probably, one as my first and one as an edc/tavern knife

Maxx

Payment sent for 1.

Thanks for all the effort, guys. This will be another great forum knife!

Just saw Gene's rendition of the labels for the knife tubes. They look superb. We will post when it's finalized.

I just paid for two knives. Much thanks to everybody who made this possible.
Thanks for letting me participate. Now for the hard part - waiting!

Oh man I am IN!!...Pay Pal has just been sent...I just cannot wait to see this baby, but I must put aside my excitedness and thank everyone who has had input into this knife, thank you guys, I wish I could face you & shake your your hands, and buy you a few beers and tell you how grateful I am that there are members like you that make this a great place to visit - cheers guys!

I paid before these threads were up due to circumstances with my big move to the US so I'll be amped to get this years knife. Thanks a lot Chris and Campbell for working with me so I could pay early and not miss out on this. If I had waited till now my funds would be tied up in immigration and fees to ship my belongings, it means a lot to me! :)

I need to update my address with you but first need to work out if I can have parcels left at the local USPS office, because lately they just leave my parcels I have sent to our apartment at the front of the complex where out post boxes are!!! any recommendations to avoid my knife ending up stolen?

Robert,

Sounds like you need a Post Office Box. They are located inside the Post Office and I think they give you a key so you can go to the Post Office anytime during business hours and get your mail. Only you and Postal personnel can access the box.

Sorry I am new, and this is my first forum knife, I just wanted to clear it up in my head. I send the appropriate amount via PayPal to the email address, and then in December a new knife shows up at my door? Am I missing anything?

Thats how it works :) makes for a great Christmas knife!

I have recieved via paypal for I believe hard number is 54 or 55 knives but that does not include mine. LOL. I also am digging the labels that Gene has designed, wow just wow. You all will be impressed.

will the previews of the label art be put in this thread? I absolutely loved last years! cant wait.

We are shooting for December, we may be earlier, we may be later, but if you paid for a knife you will have the gift of "I have a knife coming to me!" I like that feeling knowing that I have one coming, even if it is going to be awhile. One thing that will happen for sure, is when others start seeing the finished knife being shipped and forumites posting their reviews, the regrets of not ordering one start hitting the thread. Then guys who ordered one, wish they ordered 2, one for a user and one for a safe queen. LOL. There are quite a few pp orders for multiple knives. This will be my first EO slipjoint. I am actually warming up to the cap lifter as well. It is quite folksy, and I do on occaision use my Leatherman Charge Ti to open a bottle of root beer from the soda shop. Now, I can carry this one to the soda shop. It does not get anymore folksy than that folks.

His graphics are great. Hope to post it soon.

All, if you intend on getting a knife this year, but haven't sent your payment, please do so at your earliest convenience. Without getting into specifics, it is helpful to us (both in the time we are putting into this and for the process with GEC in general). This is going to be a great knife and if you are on the fence, I can assure you that regrets will arise if you don't get one. I wish more than anything that I would have bought some of the previous knives I missed. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Hi
PP sent for one knife. This will be my first GEC and first EO.
Thanks for the efforts and for letting it happen.
Mike

Here is a picture that Corey posted showing a knife that is very similar - this example has an incorrect shield, and there will be no bail on the forum knife, but it will give you an idea.

Keep in mind that Great Eastern is making arguably the finest quality traditional slip-joint knives being made in America.

The forum knife should be a real show-stopper, truly a traditional pattern with many quality touches.

I have rarely ever seen a member post that they were sorry they purchased one of the forum knives, but I have seen many posts of people wishing they HAD purchased one when they were available.

best regards -

I'm warming to this one but can anybody say how approx how long the bottle opener/cap-lifter will be? Will it be short as shown or long full length as in the original line drawings?

Thanks, W
