2011 Forum Knife Discussion Thread

It is pretty easy to pull up a CSV file on my paypal and see all who paid for knives, some of the email addresses give hints to the forum member,but in order to match real names with forum names will require quite a bit of sit down work. I think what I will do, is print out the poll thread, then cross off voters from my paypal order sheet, and then start contacting the voters who are not yet orderers. I believe there is honor among traditional types, so, barring hard times, I think we should expect all voters to ante up, especially if they voted for the cap lifter. I believe we have 65 knives paid for so far, and there are a good number who ordered multiple knives, so there are quite a few voters who are not payers as of yet.

We need another fast and furious paypal flurry. Keep up the pressure all, and thanks for any and all who are spreading the good word on this sales campaign.

This is a list of all who have purchased a knife or knives as of yesterday via paypal. If you are sending me a MO please let me know so I can watch for it, as of right now, I have no incoming MO's just paypal. If you do not see your name up there contact me ASAP to make sure I did not make an error somewhere. I will update as we get more sales. Most of you are awesome, and did it all correct, making it an easier task. This will net us 61 knives from these purchases. I am in for one, but have not figured out how to paypal myself yet lol, and Andy is in for a few, so maybe hard total right now is 64 or 65. We still have a long way to go. I will be privately contacting members to get a feel as to who is still in to purchase. Thanks all for being so awesome in your due dilligence.

Disregard my crank calls Dan, If I was breathing heavy, I will claim it was allergies. LOL. I need to get off the puter between last night and this morning, my eyes and brain are about done. Time for some pruning out back of my parents house.

I've ordered two and I can't promise anything but I'm thinking really hard about ordering one more.
 
They will make great gifts. Also, there are always people who didn't order a BF knife. After they see it and hear all the folks rave about them, they start looking to buy from people who got in on the order.

A bit more promotion on the site will likely reap rewards. It's a cool knife, I'd bet there are plenty of folks who don't know about it yet.
 
Question: I want in on 2 knives, but I will be moving in the next 2 months. I do not yet know my future address at the time of shipment (Dec 2011). Can I place my order with PayPal with my current address and then have the knives ship to my new address once I update PayPal?

I asked about this when I made my order and if you move just email them the new address so it can be put in the datebase of peoples details who ordered. I just left my shipping address as my inlaws until I know what my address will be xmas time.

No sweat. When you paypal, put in the message that you will be updating your address. We will not ship til earliest fall, latest Dec. hopefully. We can handle an address change.
 
Just sent a paypal order for 2 knives, one to carry and one to put away. Looks like a great knife. Wasn't keen on the caplifter to start but have seen a few vintage 2 blade jacks with caplifters lately and it is kind of growing on me. Thanks to everyone who put this together.

Awesome guys, I got you last 3 on the paypal, and I posted your name on the "paid" area. This brings us up to 70! We need to keep it going strong.
 
I felt the same way danno. My first choice and vote was for a toe nail, and then a tear drop harness jack, but now, a cap lifter EO with that gorgeous fatty mcfat fat spear blade con swedge is making me feel real good, in characteristic carbon steel. I can imagine the jigging and know it will look great. Yeah buddy boooooooooooooooooooooyah!

I hope we do a toenail for next years :D the pattern is growing on me *badumtish*

I'm trying to get word out to even non-members to join up and order, hopefully they do cause this is too good to miss.

That brings the total to 77. There are many members who are committed as per their voting on the pattern and such, so I am confident we will hit 100 soon, but I will breathe much easier when we do.
