2011 Forum Knife Shipping Status

We were up in Klamath Falls, OR yesterday for Doctor appointments and when we got home late, there was a U.S. Postal notice slip in my mail box saying an insured package was waiting for me at the Post Office. I went down this AM (an hour ago) and picked up my 2011 Blade Forum knife.

Thanks for the great shipping job Andy. Much appreciated.

First of all, congrats on the new grandbaby!

Second, my package arrived yesterday. I had told a coworker what I was expecting in the mail, so when he saw the box downstairs, he ran right up with it. I did the reveal right in front of him.

I gotta say, you guys hit this one out of the park! The overall fit and finish of my knives are great. I haven't had a chance to try the opener yet. The artwork on the label is awesome!

First impressions, GEC did a great job (except the opener).

My thanks to all those who were involved. It's tough to please everyone.

Glenn

Andy, Congrats on having the new edition to the family! I'm sure
you and your Grandson will have some great times!

Look forward to the mail this week! :D Thanks!

Jason

Thanks Everybody for the well wishes!

So, what sort of knife you all thinking about for the 2012 BFT knife? ;^)

Certainly not a Sunfish or a Toenail. Something more practical and due to GEC's total lack of caring and failing to pay attention to detail in providing a fully functional cap lifter/screwdriver blade out of the box nothing made byGEC.

We could always go with one like another forum site got. I read that it is getting great reviews! :( ha ha

Congrats on the new grand-baby, Andy. Got my shipping notification today and can hardly wait til the 18th.:D

Hi folks -

The carpet-bombing of knives will come to an end tomorrow - I will have all the knives packaged and the last will ship tomorrow.

I am not sure if anyone really caught on, but I was playing a little game - I worked the list in alphabetic order, shipping by first name, UNLESS you posted in this thread, in which case your package moved to the top of the list!

It helped me to have a good time while I was shipping.

Thank you to everyone who let me know the packages arrived safely.

I have really enjoyed seeing people get their knives and it is comforting to know I am not the only one that get's so excited when I am about to get a new knife in the mail!

Off to work!

Hi folks - The last of the packages are all ready to ship, and will go out tomorrow.

You are all very welcome and I feel privileged to have been able to do this small thing for our community.

I had a lot of fun shipping the knives out - and I got a lot of quality time with my 2010 Queen Moose forum knife.

I used the Moose to cut the bubble wrap for each knife and for various tasks during the project. It really works well, with a nice sized handle and useful blades.

I am looking forward to getting my new forum knife out tomorrow!

If anyone has any issues with the shipping please contact me via email right away.

Mine arrived safely on Wednesday. Thanks for your time and effort, Andy. I'd also like to thank anyone else that had a part in making this forum knife (my 1st) a reality.

Andy is a shipping machine and set the bar for delivery on future projects. My hat's off to you and your fellows in this year's forum knife. Thank you and happy holidays.

Thanks Mike - I mentioned to the ladies at the post office that I felt like I was "carpet-bombing" the globe with packages. They did not know the terminology (not old enough I guess), and I also think you don't say the word "bomb" when you are dropping off 20 small boxes to the post office..... :o

I will be running to the PO with the final load - Please, if anyone does not either have their knife or at least an email notification, pm me or email me.

best regards -

You guys did a bang-up-job with this entire project... from inception to delivery. You should have been given the first few numbered knives "hot off the press" for all of the time you guys put into this. Though I know that's not what any of you did it for... but you still deserved it.

It usually takes about 9 to 15 days for a knife shipped from the US to get to me. I will likely be out of town at work when it gets here but fully expect it to be waiting for me when I get home on Dec 3. It is a beautiful knife in the photos posted so far and I am really looking forward to getting it. I love the spear blade.
